Cedric X Baylee Porter

It was a cold Saturday night when Cedric Diggry woke up. He wasn’t expecting to wake up like this nor was he expecting it to be so hard to fall back asleep. Laying in his bed for about twenty minutes he got bored and decided to spend some time downstairs and be somewhat productive. 

As he was walking down the circle stairs he noticed something or more he heard something. The sound of sniffling coming from somewhere out in the common room. He couldn’t pinpoint who was making that noise until he continued walking and saw a girl sitting on the floor of the common room in front of the fire pit silently crying. 

Cedric didn’t know whether to intrude or to walk back up to his room and just try to go back to bed but that didn’t matter anymore as the girl noticed him out of the corner of her eye and quickly began wiping her eyes to make it appear as if she never cried in the first place. 

“Oh i’m sorry I didn’t know someone else was down” She began to speak with puffy eyes and a red nose. 

“It’s alright I just couldn’t sleep so I thought I would take a trip down stairs. May I sit with you?” Cedric pointed to the empty spot next to the girl. 

“Sure, go ahead.” the girl spoke softly looking towards the fireplace. Cedric took the spot next to her. He got a closer look at her and noticed just how beautiful she was. She had light brown hair and hazel eyes that were lit up by the flames of the burning fire in front of them. She was stunning even with her tear streak cheeks and red nose she was still the most gorgeous girl Cedric had ever looked at. 

“Well I’m Cedric Diggory and you are?” He looked towards the girl hoping for a response. It was so low that if it wasn’t completely empty Cedric wouldn’t have been able to hear her soft whisper 

“Baylee Porter” Baylee Porter, that was the name of the girl in front of me. I don’t know what happened to her but she’s too pretty to be this upset. 

“May I ask why you’re crying down here at three in the morning?” She tensed up a little bit at the question and looked to the side of the room contemplating if she should spill her guts to the boy next to her. It’s not like she didn’t know who he was. He was Cedric Diggory Hufflepuff’s resident Golden Boy. Everyone loved him and she could understand why, they’re in the same year yet they have never talked once with all of the classes they shared together. Baylee took a deep breath and without looking at him began to speak in a small voice. 

“I found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me with my supposed best friend for around two months.” She let out the breath she had been holding and slowly turned to Cedric. She was confused by the look on his face as he seemed to be filled with anger and disgust after hearing her statement but she didn’t understand. “What’s wrong?” She asked with confusion running through her mind. 

“How could someone cheat on you?” he responded in a low voice. “Well anyone can be cheated on it’s not that hard all you hav-” She answered nonchalantly. 

“No, I mean how could someone cheat on you. You’re so lovely, the guy who you were with before is a total ass for cheating on you.” He commented looking into Baylee’s eyes and suddenly she felt hot all over. She didn’t know why she felt this way but she knew that this wasn't the end of the two of them. They were just getting started.

Remus Lupin X Ravenclaw

Phoebe Bennett had just gotten to the library, this was her safe space. She always came here whenever she felt anxious or just needed a quiet place to relax. On this fateful day Phoebe was in there to study for a test she had tomorrow. It was for Herbology and that was her worst subject. All of her other classes were fine except Herbology. It was her biggest struggle. Settling down at a table she proceeded towards the bookshelves in look of a book she thought would help. As she walked through each aisle she found the book she was looking for. The only thing was that it was all the way on the top shelf. Phoebe wasn’t too sure she could reach it as she was only 5’4. 

Standing up on her tiptoes she began to reach as high as she could go still falling short. She was about to give up when she heard a voice say “Here let me help.” and a scar ridden hand reached over her and got the book with ease. She turned to see a very tall boy with light brown hair and eyes and little scars along his face. He had a kind smile and was carrying a satchel. 

“Oh thank you.” Phoebe said looking up at the boy very shyly. Standing in front of her was Remus Lupin, her secret long time crush since third year. She’s never talked to him but she always noticed him in the library, halls, Great Hall. He was just an all around good guy who made amazing grades. Though once a month he would disappear and be found in the Hospital Wing of the school. 

“No problem, I’m Remus, Remus Lupin.”He extended his hand towards Phoebe and she took it. 

“I’m Phoebe Bennett.” she replied, looking down a little. She was quite nervous talking to Remus and didn’t want to embarrass herself. 

“Oh yea I’ve seen you around before, you spend a lot of time in the library.” Phoebe was in shock because she didn’t realize that anyone had noticed her spending that much time in here. 

“ummm yea, it’s just my safe space.” She said looking around the place she always felt so cozy in. 

“Well it’s nice to know that someone else also enjoys the library as much as me.” He looked at her with a small smile which she returned. The pair looked at each other for a few minutes without breaking eye contact. 

She wanted to talk to him more but thought it was best to leave him be. “So thank you for the book but I should start studying.” Before he could answer Phoebe began to walk away back to her table. 

“Wait Phoebe!” Remus called out after her. She turned around to see Remus walking up to her “I was wondering if you wanted to hangout sometime?” 

She was in shock, she couldn’t believe her longtime crush had just asked her to hangout. “Sure I would love to.” She finally answered after having an internal freak out. 

“Great well I’ll see you around.” He waved towards her and walked out of the library. Phoebe walked back to her table and tried to concentrate but her mind was racing thinking about the scar ridden boy who she admired.
