i know i said i was not gonna be here and here i am breaking that rule a second time. however, this time is for an important matter. i'm currently talking with @midnightfloats who is really having a hard time. she wanted me to talk to her friends but as i don't know them, i can't do that, so i'm just gonna go ahead and post this here. please understand she is in a bad spot right now and i think she could really use some positive vibes. i'm not gonna go into detail about it because it isn't my place, but please give her some love, okay? she could really use that support. thank you. i'm out again.

KISSIES ON THE CHEEKIES || NOT ACCEPTING || @whispersong

        * EDDIE WAS NOT EXPECTING THE KISS. actually, if anything, this was the LAST THING he’d expected from bill. of course ----- bill has ALWAYS been affectionate && at one point, B E F O R E bill became interested in girls, kisses on the cheek were FINE. it’s been a LONG TIME since they’ve done it && it causes eddie to STUMBLE a bit in surprise, his bambi eyes wide as he spins around to the grinning face of bill denbrough.

he presses his lips together, CONSIDERING what to say. he decides, in the end, NOT to say anything at all. instead ------ he uses the S I L E N C E to his advantage and steals a kiss on the boy’s cheek in return. he, of course, has to stand on the TIPS OF HIS TOES to reach bill, but he does it nonetheless, and once the kiss has been planted on said cheek, he grabs bill’s hand and leads him away.

TRUTH IS, she didn’t know how to make it better. she was but a child. seeing him suffer, though, was one of the greatest pains she’d come to know— summers gone by assured that they’d be friends for LIFE, strung tight by wondrous memories of a late, blooming childhood. 

❛  i’d never let ANYONE hurt you, eddie. not your momma, not anyone.  ❜ and it’s the TRUTH— but you have to let eddie hurt a little. he’s been so trapped in the illusion his mother has created, he needs to fall down, needs to get roughed up a little. let him learn for himself.

          * HE KNOWS SHE TRIES ----- he knows she means well and that means MORE TO EDDIE than she can possibly begin to understand. beverly has been nothing but a friend to eddie && he appreciates her SO MUCH. he knows she means it when she says she’s here for him. beverly has NEVER lied to him before and it’s a R E L I E F to him, knowing that no matter what, he will still have a friend.

when she pulls him into the hug, eddie feels an EXASPERATED breath leave his body and he circles his arms around her in response. he doesn’t SAY anything, but really ---- he doesn’t think he needs to.

CONCERN LACES TONE    but words are nonchalant.                  ❝ are you having an   ASTHMA   attack or an   ANXIETY   attack ? ❞                  JESUS CHRIST !    this kid’s  dying !     aide is stuck at the intersection ,  caught in his throat  &  stiff joints.

            “ wh ---- WHAT ?? ” god, he sounds like BILL. to be fair though, bill also doesn’t have a hard time b r e a t h i n g. he’s CLUTCHING his inhaler tightly in his hand && he SHAKES HIS HEAD, as if that’s going to answer the question. “ i ----- g-give me a moment. ” he is QUICK to use his inhaler with trembling fingers && after a few puffs, he’s finally able to B R E A T H E once again. his whole body is free of tension, though his hands still tremble as he put’s his inhaler back into the fanny pack around his waist. “ i’m okay. ”

          * GODDAMMIT, RICHIE !! is the first thought to come to eddie’s head as lips press against his chilled cheek. it’s probably about TEN DEGREES outside and eddie is fucking freezing. he tried to brave it out, but he should have known that richie would fucking notice him shivering and teeth CHATTERING in the shared, uncomfortable silence. 

the silence after the kiss that follows is NOT uncomfortable ---- it’s tense. however, eddie realizes very quickly that despite the fact that he did not condone the act of affection to begin with, he has suddenly found himself very warm. eddie isn’t going to tell RICHIE this, of course, but judging by the smug look on his face, he doesn’t have to.

          eddie surprisingly doesn’t protest when richie grabs his hand and leads him to warmth.
