Up next on our roster of bands for this year’s festival is another band that has recently resurfaced from days of yore, Ched!

Comprised of Philip van Ulden, Dana Mitchell, Ronnie Keats, and Leo van Ulden, Ched carved a niche in the 90’s alternative scene in St. John’s before going on hiatus in 2007.

A three piece powerviolence band, Bumper Fucks were active in the 2010’s, but have been relatively silent in the intervening years, until now! ⛓️ HEAVY NFLD FEST 2025 ⛓️ Artist Spotlight # 26 🎶 GUTTER YOUTH CHOIR 🎶 The last but certainly not least of the artist spotlights for our folk punk showcase is the “screech folk” duo Gutter Youth Choir! Emerging on the St. John’s scene just this year, Gutter Youth Choir are part of the new wave of folk punk bands and projects that have cropped up recently.
