came to a conclusion that this blog has to be mutuals only. explained under the cut cause i literally write an essay lmao

quite literally nothing in the tags excites me or catches my interest. i'm kind of over jumping into random, melodramatic plots that have no foundation. i also am not interested in one liners, lyric-based things or basing threads off tv shows or movies. i do not care at all about trending fc's and shows.

and i learned the hard way that most people aren't really interested in world-building alongside with me. nor do they care to read character bios. most just scoll past musings, lore, aesthetics etc because they don't care. which is fine! i don't need the validation or attention – it's moreso that i don't like feeling like a content machine. like i'm only valued when i pump out replies & treat each like they're a task to check off my list. i've also honestly soft blocked so many people that there's nobody really left to start something with.

as for my muses, there's not many dynamics left to explore with them. i’m tired of people not reading any of their info, projecting these tropes onto them & trying to push them into threads that make no sense. like i had dakota check his rolex in a thread bc wealthy people are rude and entitled. like he’s doing YOU favor by entertaining a 5 minute conversation. but the other person interpreted that as wealth flexing & told him off abt that. like.. what? why would he care about that..?

there's nothing inherently wrong with anything i've listed, it just no longer serves me and does nothing for me creatively. instead of looking in the tags and posting starter calls/opens, it's best for me to exclusively interact with current mutuals. i'd rather have 5 mutuals who've been following me for years than collect a bunch every weekend like infinity stones. i've learned i'm my most unhappy when i get a bunch of new followers who don't interact with quite literally anything but are actively posting & clearly online.

i feel rp in general has turned into a popularity contest and i'm not really interested in it anymore lmao. all this to say i've finally come to a healthy relationship with my blog. considered deleting it for a long time, but i still need a creative outlet & i genuinely do enjoy all threads with my mutuals. it feels so freeing to just give up on the tags and nourish what i already have.

in my head they met at some sort of album release party for a mutual friend. elena was bored out of her mind and wanted to be quite literally anywhere else, and i can't imagine shayne enjoying it any more. they definitely shared gummies and disappeared. maybe struck up a conversation about the concept of releasing multiple versions of the same album, label greed, commercialization of art.

hidden spots in miami that literally nobody else knows about. they're from different parts of the city but i can imagine both found hideaways to visit when they don't feel like being "on".

oooh good question. neither of them really care that much about material items. adonis has had unlimited access to money from birth, so a lot of "stuff" just feels so shallow to him. and i don't think catalina would need much to be happy. if anything, i could picture her making a cute little "book of coupons" gift like "one hug" "one massage" or whatever. for adonis, he's a talented writer. so he likes to spontaneously write her long, romantic poems in calligraphy.

ooh i'm gonna say they LOVE cooking together. adonis has greek / mediterrianian recipes passed down his mom's side and soul food passed down through his dad's. catalina has her own culture and traditions & i think they'd make a lot of fusion food together. quiet date nights, sight-seeing, farmers markets as well. romantic candlelit bathtubs, romantic get-aways.

catalina & adonis.

what was your muses first impressions of each other ? - ok so in my mind they met in spain, while catalina was there for a photoshoot and adonis was backpacking in europe. anyway, her initial impression was that she thought he was cute, maybe a little serious and intimidating. was very surprised to learn that he spoke to her in near fluent spanish, but she was also super into it. I think adonis would've found her attractive ofc, taken notice of how outgoing she was with everyone around her.

when did your muses realize they had fallen for each other ? - for catalina it was almost immediate and pretty much during their first interaction. like I mentioned before she was already attracted to him and was impressed. she gave him her number immediately. for adonis it took a little longer, but still during their early dating phase. right off the bat she was always supportive, loving, and kind - never expected anything in return from him and wasn't interested in the money.

what was the last place your muses went to together ? - probably some fancy furniture store for rich people, specifically picking out cribs and other things for their nursery.

now that he's fully on vacation mode, dakota can enjoy the time with his girlfriend. he's so committed to being present that he left his work phone at home. brought a second one that only family and gemma have access to. both of his parents and sister know that he doesn't want to hear from them unless there's some emergency. he and his girl finally have the chance to act like a normal couple. as normal as one could be on a luxurious island give-away. "careful with how you sit on my lap, baby. don't start somethin' you can't finish." he grins, large hand resting on the small of her back. and then he genuinely laughs. "seriously? there was alcohol on the flight, gemma. and we were in first class. don't act like you were slumming it in coach like a bum."

there's something so freeing about being public and open with their relationship -- not only with the world, but with each other. no more playing mind games with each other or allowing their pride to get in the way, just loving each other in the loudest, most unapologetic way possible. it's ironic they'd find themselves in the honeymoon phase so late in their relationship, but it's a high she's going to savor for as long as she can. before they have to return to the reality of their hectic schedules and personal lives.
