One of my favorite Regressor Mumbo headcanons is the idea that, for the longest time, he didnt think he could regressor. He could never get into the headspace, and always was too tense or anxious to really slip. He just felt like a grown man sitting on the floor surrounded by children's toys making a fool of himself. (the height never helped, because it made him feel even bigger next to this stuff)

But then somehow, whether it's because he's got too much on his plate, or because one of his friends helps him truly relax, he regresses and it's /really/ nice. It really makes him happy.

Tldr: Idk, maybe it's a bit too much of me projecting, but it just feels right to me for Mumbo to have had a hard time with it, but be really soothed by being little one he figures it out.

Little!Mumbo!!

He was definitely a little late to regressing in regards to the other hermits. Everyone else was pretty cemented in what they preferred weither it be regressing, age dreaming, caregiving, babysitting, or any of the above. He definitely felt like he waited too long to explore that but everyone was very happy to help him or just hang out and talk about their experiences with regression.

Anxiety and trying to regress is not the combo one is going for. Mumbo hasn’t had an issue with shame like some of the other regressors but he does have lots of nerves. Worried that somethings going to happen to someone he cares about or how he’s going to feel.

He tries all the tips that were shared with him. Laying on the floor, things that remind him if when he was younger, little redstone kits that all the other redstoners get, and all the gear. They don’t really work for him the way he expected. Or maybe he didn’t know how he was supposed to feel.

The first time he regresses he’s with Grian. Grian had convinced him to regress while he was there. They had talked about Mumbo’s anxiety and Grian is the perfect person to quell that. It took a couple times of hanging out before it hit.

When he finally regressed the first time it was a very sweet time with G! Mumbo was resting, trying to ignore his anxiety and all the things he needs to do. Grian was running his fingers through Mumbo’s hair and talking sweetly to fight his unspoken anxieties. Grian notices that Mumbo is little before Mumbo noticed.

Mumbo has about 3 modes when little: super cuddly, bubbliest artist, and very anxious. No one knows which one its going to be until he’s in it. Usually cuddly and anxious ends with Mumbo in the arms of whoever he’s with. When he’s bubbly it usually consists of him sitting at the table drawing, swinging his feet, and talking drawing, art, or redstone to whoever is close enough to be considered listening.

Hii I was wondering if you have any thoughts on little Etho? I adore him and I need more people’s thoughts on him (not at all mandatory but if you also have any thoughts on him having scar as a carer I would love to hear)

Little!Etho, my beloved!!

When he first started regressing he thought he was older than he actually was. He wouldn’t talk to many people about it but he was convinced that he regressed to like 10-13. This was very wrong, he is so baby. It took talking to Pearl about teen regression and seeing Gem regress to realize that maybe he was wrong…

Struggles a little more with his motor skills when regressed. He’s brushing hair out of his face with his whole hand and really struggles with picking papers or coins up off of tables.

Little gear and stuffies are something that Etho felt a lot of shame around and wouldn’t keep. He has had a lot of help changing this mindset, Gem and Cleo being really big help. He now has a stuffie that he can whip out whenever he needs it. No one knows where he keeps it, in his inventory, shulker box, or ender chest but it’s always available in seconds notice.

-> It’s an arctic fox that was gift to him from Pearl when she realized he was regressing littler than he would claim. He tried to get rid of it or regift it to Gem but he can’t give away a nice present.

He loves watching Minecraft videos when little. He likes something thats nice and calming. A Bdubs building video is a good go to.

He’s always sooo sleepy. Maybe it’s because he usually regresses late afternoon or close to bedtime or maybe it’s the nice warm cuddles that his CGs are more than willing to provide.

CG!Etho with a scar

Etho isn’t the first CG with a scar (GTWS has him beat) but he is the first with a facial scar. Honestly, he’s more worried about it than the littles. He’s worries that having a facial scar might make him look scary to the littles. They however don’t care very much. Everyone has known Etho for a while so its not unsettling its just Etho <3

His scar is quite old but it has healed red and affected his vision. Usually it’s not too bad but depth perception with only one fully functioning eye is difficult. However, sippy cups make everything easier. Lots of little gear is designed for littles to not spill things but it also works when your carer misses the edge of the table.

Littles love drawing Etho! Not a lot of people have two colored eyes or red. They have lots of fun making him pose. Etho collects the drawings for days when he worries about what the hermits think.

Littles love asking questions! Which is understandable, there’s a natural curiosity in little kids. He doesn’t tell them the real story but he always has a silly story for them. He says that a unicorn scratched his eye and that’s what made it red.

Scar loves hanging out with Etho! Sometimes he feels subconscious about his own scars when little but seeing Etho be confident regardless helps! Skizz is a big fan too, he doesn’t have the confidence issues (because it’s Skizz!) but loves being around someone that understands.

Hope these CG!Etho headcanons were good! Might not be what you expected but I didn’t want to lean into the “scars are scary” thing. I don’t think scars are scary and I don’t think people have that innately. I believe curiosity is more likely especially since littles already know Etho and are comfortable with him.

Do you have any Tango Past Life headcanons?

~~~SPOILERS FOR EP 4 PAST LIFE~~~

I headcanon that Tango regressed at the end of ep 4 after the final failed boogie kill due to stress/overwhelm thats why he refused to try again.

When they figured it out Bread Boys dug him out and took him back to the pyramid for snacks and cuddles and reassurances that hes still a good boy.

Spoilers for Past Life Session 1-4

Yes! That was one upset boy. Already a big fan of after the session being called everyone going back to their base or an allies base and being small. Despite all the big talk against each other during the session, the Rejects and Cabincore base are full of littles (traps removed for safety)

The Rejects for the space (and they love running around in the maze) and Cabincore has a very homey vibe and the hot tub is nice to chill in (when the water is clean).

A couple of hermits liked to hang out in pokeball because it was a smaller space and reminded them of things they liked.

The bread boys are in charge of snacks this season, Impulse bringing bread and cakes. Others bring snacks too since they focus more on carbs.

Cuddles are always a must to calm down and relax. This ends in cuddle piles with everyone on top of each other.

Two of the biggest regression moments this season has been Grian with his diamonds in session one and Tango after session four.

Past life also feels like a lot of teen regression. Pearl and her emo teenage energy and Joel and Jimmy in session one.

little gem still has a love for violence. she gets sooo giddy when she gets someone to play fight with her, she always ends up winning whether her opponent goes easy on her or not. she's just that good, even when small!! (she gets a little too excited and eventually tuckers herself out though)

Yes! She lovess play fighting! Foam swords or wooden swords she doesn’t care.

Sometimes when people set out looking for GeminiSlay and they are fighting she’ll just become more giggly and excited as she wins her fights.

Her season 10 battle with Mumbo to get heads for his base started with two completely not regressed people and ended with two very sleepy littles on murder beach.

This does create a little bit of a problem for Gem when murder becomes associated with being little. This started even before her 28 wins against Etho.

Speaking of the Etho battle, the further Gem regressed the harder Etho tried to win and fight his own regression. However, he was unsuccessful and when the fighting was done they got to hang out and cuddle in Gem’s beautiful base.

Gem does switch to foam swords some times. Especially if her opponent doesn’t want to have to respawn as a lot of littles just want to have fun. It leads to a lot of longer fights meaning even more tired littles.

i dont have many consistent headcanons, but ive been thinking about the guess the build gang and regression.

oneof the consistent ones though, is jimmy whos both a cg and regressor, because his videos where he has his friends do stuff make me think about it

Guess the Build Regression Headcanons!

This was definitely designed and planned out to be a completely big activity and video. However, after the first video they realized it would not be that way. 5 videos with 3 builds per is a lot of work! Lots of work with these guys is definitely lots of giggles.

Gem is usually the first to slip and will stay pretty consistently small throughout. Jimmy and Joel will fluctuate a lot between being small and caring for their friends. Always trying to keep people in line and make sure they go to the right spots. Skizz is committed to stay big every time and then he gets his first silly build and he’s done for. Impulse is a mix, some times he’s little by the end of the first video and some times he’s watching and caring for his friends the whole way through. Grian pretty consistently slowly slides right into a grumpy littlespace. He gets overwhelmed with all the time and energy it takes so when he starts slipping he starts getting grumpy.

Thinking of the overall video prompts is done big but their individual prompts were done in the moment meaning a lot of them were created by giggly littles.

The only way to explain the Skizz builds is to say that either he was regressed or trying to cheer up the little after him. It definitely works well when Grian is following him. Not as well when Joel is guess what he built though.

They always have a lot of fun but it ends in them going back to Hermitcraft to hang out, relax, cuddle, and watch a movie. Some other hermits will come over so the guess the build builders don’t have to worry about caregiving for each other. Scar, Pearl, Mumbo, and Lizzie are usually on speed dial.

Evil headcanons 😈 GO!

😶 Little!False has verbal shutdowns often, either for a few hours or even days depending on her stress levels. She is used to being shamed for not speaking so when she is suggested to write on paper or use cards, False is joyfully surprised. AAC user for sure.

🏳️‍⚧️ Little! Rendog regresses and age dreams to gain back the girlhood she never got(Yes, transfemme Rendog!!!). Also, she likes to get her hair decorated and pretty-ed up, even if the braiding process is quite stressful and often painful :( tight curled hair can be hard to take care of for such a little pup!

🥸 CG! Joe Hills loves to do puppet shows for meows littles!(neopronouns user Joe Hills btw) Bark gets to act very silly and dramatic, and glitter gets the lovely reward of plentifull giggles in response.

🧶 CG! ZombieCleo is the #1 go-to hermit if any stuffies are torn or ripped. They also enjoy making small crocheted toys for her littles as well. Plus, if Joe Hills needs repairs, grr gets an excuse to visit her.

🤕 Little! Beef often overworks himself on the farm and hides his regression. So a caregiver will have to come visit to get him to relax and regress. Despite being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and athsma, Beef still avoids taking breaks and asking for help. Bonus headcanon: Beef likes to sing.

👌 Little! Grian stuggles with skin picking and trichotilomania(hair plucking), so caregivers often have to pull his hands away from his face or busy his hands with a fidget; especially while watching shows or relaxing when there isn’t much for Grian to do.

💡 Little! Bdubs is scared of the dark so he needs a nightlight anywhere he’s sleeping. His main caregiver’s are always prepared with spare nightlights for sleepovers. Bdubs’ favorite are the ones that project pretty pictures onto the ceiling, but he’ll accept normal lame ones just fine.

🍂 Little! Jevin often gets dirty with dust and leaves on his outdoor adventures. When he is big, he notices pretty easily and can get cleaned up by himself; but when small, he will come home super messy and only realize once someone points it out. Jevin is very unbalanced while small too and has bad proprioception, so he often needs help from a caregiver to get all clean; it makes him feel smaller and delicate.

😤 Little! Wels can be very bossy during playtime. Although, he likes to play protective or knight-like roles for pretend.

🫣 Little! Xisuma prefers to play by themself—they feel out of place and confused often when playing with others. If they were to pick a character to play for “house”, it would be the dog.

📖 CG! Scar loves to sneak starwars comics into storytime. Despite how fun his starwars dolls- I mean, “figures” are, they are strictly off limits to littles—unless they do puppy-dog eyes, then they are allowed but they have to be careful and he will be watching very closely.

Evil?? These are more just optimal silly headcanons. These are just the sillies!!

Little!Ren is so known for being a destroyer of clothing. They have sharp teeth and will rip holes or leave punctures in neck holes and sleeves. Not just their own… Sometimes CGs will peacefully be cuddling with a sleepy Rendog and wake up with a serious hole in their shirt. That’s why Doc’s lab coat looks like that.

Falsie when she gets overwhelmed is a scribbler. Accidentally colored out the lines? Scribble over the whole page. Doesn’t like how a drawing is? She’s scribbling. She loves scribbling and likes how they look.

Love transfemme!Ren !! She loves getting her hair brushed by their CGs. Sometimes hairdos are too much to deal with. She also loves getting her nails painted nice and sparkly.

ZombieCleo’s is totally the stuffie repair place! Cleo will talk to the little all about what’s going on and remind them that it doesn’t hurt the stuffie. The little gets lots of cuddles from Cleo while they cuddle their freshly repaired stuffie. Cleo knows that an injured stuffie can be really upsetting for a baby.

Beef does cow cuddling!! Either when he’s little or with his littles. The cows love to cuddle. Whenever it’s baby season the cows, goats, and chickens are always surrounded by littles that want to hold and pet the babies. Beef has his neighbors to watch and make sure everyone is behaving well if he wants to regress too. Goat yoga was not as much of a success as cow cuddles since goat hooves hurt a little when they stand on you (personal experience)

Skin picking is especially difficult to deal with when you also have feathers. Grian’s need to pick his skin gets really bad whenever they get pin feathers. CGs have tried picky pads and all kinds of fidgets. They don’t work the same because it’s the feeling that he wants the most. He also struggles with nail biting but that can be taken care of with a teether.

Bdubs and Gem are both big with the nightlights!! Gem has one of those light up worms that play music incase she wakes up and the night light is off. Or if she regresses by herself when she doesn’t have it turned on. Bdubs leaves his nightlights on all the time. He has a horse shaped one in his hallways!

Little!Pearly is a serial haircutter when it cones to dolls. All her Barbies are getting bobs and pixies. False loves it because she has shorter hair and the dolls hair is usually longer than hers is.

Little! Cleo and Gem are big weird barbie people. They color their hair and dress them in weird outfits. The weird girlies (gender neutral) have the silly barbies!

Little!Joel is a strange one! He eats the strangest things. You can’t leave him alone with chapstick or tubes of toothpaste, they will be gone or with serious teeth marks. Arts and crafts needs to be watched well. Non-Toxic paint is a necessary! Foam sheets and colored paper with bite marks has only one person behind it.

Xisuma and Grian like to draw really creepy things together. Drawing shadow people for fun while giggling and comparing their drawings is a regular. Scar does this too but he’s more looking for someone to understand what he remembers :(

Little!Tango loves cheating at games! Or well, “making his own rules” to games. Some people have different ways of playing Uno (stacking, skips, ect.) but Tango does it for every game. Usually to give himself double turns.

CG!Ren

The theater kid ever! It sticks around even when taking care of littles. Commits to every bit 1000%. The best for imaginary play or telling stories. He’s doing all the voices of the characters and yes and-ing his way into the most interesting imaginary play.

Loves keeping up with the GigaCorp bit with littles. He has plenty of extra space suits for the littles to play around with when they walk around outside.

He’s not the most amazing cook but he tries his best. He can make a lot of the things that littles like so they don’t notice. Grilled cheese and mac & cheese is all you really need to have a happy little.

Has all the dress up clothes. Pirates, royalty, fancy clothes, swords, lightsabers, if you want it, he has it. He’s learning how to sew from Cleo to try to make more creative costumes.

Very much an agreeable CG, if there’s something you want go to Ren. He probably already has it and would do anything to make a little smile.

Cleo headcannons!!

Cleo is very used to waking up little, she doesn't know why

Cleo and Joe take care of eachother most of the time, its rare that they regress together

She has no idea how she menage to be a caregiver to Bdubs and Scar in limited, she sure as hell aint doing that alone again

A bitter when little, luckly the zombieness can't be spread

makes her own plushies and toys for her little self to play, she gives alot of them to other hermits too

Cleo and Joe definitely are each other’s primary caretakers. Cleo does also spend time with False, especially since her base is a lot closer this season.

Little!Cleo

Cleo loves hanging out with the Juppet this season. They think he is being especially silly. Cleo makes her own Juppet/Puppet/Muppet, it’s a hand puppet named ZombieCuppet.

Incredibly crafty! They love getting little craft kits especially like embroidery or making stuffed animals. They do a lot of crafts with their other little friends and CGs

Such a bitter is right!! Chewed so many holes in pacis they get ones where you can replace the plastic part. Teethers are their caregivers best redirection but its not as good :(

Definitely not a direct sunlight person. They do have a big floppy hat that they wear when going outside to walk around or head over to someone’s base.

Loves dolls! If you couldn’t tell by the armor stands they do when big. Prefers a bigger (American Girl Dollesque size, about a foot) doll despite them typically having less articulation. The hermits have made them a ZombieCleo doll that they absolutely adore!

CG!Cleo

Limited Life was definitely one of their first times babysitting/caregiving for Scar and Bdubs. They hadn’t CGed for many people outside of Joe and False as quite a few littles find them intimidating… Cleo liked being there but with all if the death game stuff made it a bit more stressful for everyone.

As someone with teaching experience they know not to do baby talk. This is a polarizing with the littles because some like it because it makes them feel smaller and some agree with Cleo because it’s bad for speech development.

The craft helper! If a little has an idea and needs help figuring out what to do Cleo is the go to. They have all the supplies, technique help, and if all else fails, they’ll step in when asked.

Definitely does not do anything without being asked. If a little is struggling with something they’ll watch, waiting to be asked but they won’t prompt anyone. Littles are so stubborn that if they prompt they would rather struggle longer but if Cleo waits they’ll eventually ask.

Very sarcastic but they have to be extra obvious when watching littles. There has definitely been a couple times it wasn’t obvious and had to explain what they meant.

not really a headcanon but I think about cg Cleo a lot

I have some other CG!Cleo headcanons here! But here’s some more for me taking so long to write these.

With their teaching knowledge, Cleo is really good with teaching littles when they want to feel like they are in school again. Writing practice, math work, and even just silly drawings! When you want to feel like you’re back in primary school, Cleo’s your teacher.

Starting silly prank wars with Cleo is the easiest. Fake outrage is Cleo’s real love language. Little!Cub is enjoying spreading skulk all over their base then running back to them giggling before cuddling and napping together. Cleo will look out with such shock “Oh no! How could this spread!! I did everything right!” Then Cub will say that Cleo burnt the skulk wrong, “It actually spread more because the fire was not enclosed”

Incredibly compassionate and wonderful with meltdowns and upset littles. However, they definitely can’t stand whining. It’s a sensory thing! But they know all the coping skills and de-escalation techniques to help.

While Cleo isn’t super competitive that doesn’t mean they’ll let anyone win. But if they happen to “miss” a certain card or “forget” a feature when playing a board game or TCG, you can’t blame them.

Do you have any little Scar headcanons? One of My is that Cub is one of Scar's caregivers. Scar loves to do his rambles with Cub (he already loves to do it when he is big but shh) because he always listens to it attentively and encourages him to talk more by asking questions. Even when Scar is really little and his rambling becomes just babbling.

Yes! Cub is definitely a go to for Scar. They did a lot of their sillier convex things together with a little!Scar. Scar was a big reason that Cub joined the permit boys in s10.

Scar loved PoePoe-ing with CG!Skizz. All that threatening to blowup shops was definitely an excitedly violent baby. When Cub joined, Scar was only more excited to exile people with his CGs.

Watching movies and shows allll the time. Star Wars and Disney are a go to. If not this, he’s watching walk throughs of the parks and giggling chatting about what’s new or why something is the way it is.

Still a wheelchair user when little, unfortunately chronic health conditions don’t care if you’re baby… He deals with a lot of big feelings surrounding this but his CGs are always there to comfort him and remind him that its okay to need mobility aids.

He definitely gets really little really fast. Especially if he’s talking to people. He could be talking to one of his friends about the most boring thing and the littlespace will hit him like a truck.

Surprisingly not the most into art when little. He’ll do some drawing but he’s already so creative he doesn’t really need that outlet. Prefers imaginary play or storytelling to traditional arts and crafts.

Little! Grian Headcanons!

🥄 Grian likes being spoon fed while small.

😵‍💫 Also he is clumsy with his wings while little, they feel too big for his body.

🦆 He has a rubber ducky collection and likes playing with them while taking bubble baths.

🌳 Will climbs trees like a cat, but he can fly so he doesn’t get stuck.

🐈‍⬛ Big cat enjoyer. If any cats are around he is always snuggling or petting them and cooing at them in a high pitched baby voice.

✏️ Likes doodling no matter the headspace, but his doddles become messier the smaller he is. He insists that every picture he make gets put up on the fridge.

🛌 Will only sleep with cuddles.

😈 Sneaky prankster baby. Grian loves sneaking around and getting into trouble.

🤫 Giggles loudly and peeks out from his hiding spot during hide and seek.

That’s all I’ve got rn. It’s 4am and I have to wake up early tomorrow… Um Yes, I do have a very healthy sleep schedule and prioritize properly, clearly 🙄

I will always love little!Grian because it was the first hermitcraft agere I saw and is how I learned that this was something the people wanted.

Grian is one of the clingiest littles ever!! He wants constant cuddles, his hand held, or to be carried. If he is off doing something and his CG is watching (ex. running around outside or playing in the other room) he will check in all the time. He’ll just run over and say hi or stare from up close with his big void eyes.

The hermits buy him so much bird stuff! If the bird has red wings they are thinking of Grian and HAVE to get it for him. He loves this, his friends and CGs thinking about him to get him birds that remind them of him. This does lead to some naming difficulties because “birdy” and “red” are already taken. The names have slowly gotten weirder. Think animal shelters trying to name cats (ex. Atomic Toaster, Bologna Sandwich, Captain Crunch).

The hide and seek giggling is so true! Then he’s always shocked how they find him so quickly. CGs are a little nicer and look for longer but little friends will beeline when they hear his giggles.

I’m a big advocate for little Pearl most of the time (she’s so silly and deserves to be cared for <3) but I think when she’s a cg she uses a lot of pet names for littles. Like, in double life, she was always calling Tilly things like ‘sweet thing’ and ‘honey’ and etc. so I think as a cg she’d probably use similar things for her littles!

Yes! While Skizz is the king of nicknames, Pearl is the queen of pet names. Everyone has their own petname but Pearl also frequents the classics like little one, sweetie, dear, and baby. They are classics for a reason.

Some littles come straight to her when they are having trouble regressing because a gentle “darling” and some snuggles is really all that’s required to sink right into that nice fluffy headspace.

His CGs have tried giving him the little redstone kits that a couple of the hermits enjoy. Don’t get him wrong, it’s nice, but piston doors and moss farms just aren’t engaging enough for him. They don’t make a Decked Out 3 kit yet but Doc and Impulse are trying their best.

He has a ravager plushie that he takes with him everywhere. He misses his ravagers from last season. This has ended with him breaking into Ravager Rush when his CGs back was turned. Etho didn’t mind and instead installed a special door for Tango to be able to enter safely.

He’s already naturally quite warm but he adores cuddling up to his CG or being tucked tightly into bed with *several* blankets.

He did successfully convince Skizz to take him to the nether. Tango was completely fine and enjoying himself, Skizz was stressed out the entire time trying to keep Tango and himself safe. Fair to say, Skizz won’t be falling for that again.

Tango likes to make his CGs play Hungry Hermits when he’s little so he can be a customer. He always demands something crazy no matter the day. Day one he’s asking for golden carrots and cookies even if the games doesn’t allow it. He giggles as his CGs stress to give him what he wants for no (technical) points at all. At the end Tango will check the chest and say they got a million points if he got what he wanted. If he didn’t, they got zero points and he’ll hid their emeralds. This is 100% a scam for extra cookies and treats.

He loves being in his factory! He likes to watch all the minecarts go and items through water streams. He does enjoy talking to his little golems even if they don’t talk back.

When Pearl was making Peardle, Tango was her go to for advice. Once or twice she sent him a message while he was regressed and he insisted that he had to go help. He showed up CG in tow and helped Pearl with her problem. Mainly by looking at it and explaining other things until Pearl understood what was wrong and fixed it. Having Tango there definitely helped though!

headcanon: as much as gem likes (and needs) her own alone time, she LOVES having a caregiver around. just someone to listen to her ramble, even if she’s just babbling, means a lot to her and it always makes her feel smaller and get into that headspace easier when she’s got someone indulging her

Gem also loves the commitment to her little space when she has a CG, she doesn’t have to worry about being big to make lunch or if something comes up around her base there’s someone there who can take care of it.

Having CG with her she definitely gets littler faster. Having someone to tie her shoe or remind her to grab her stuffie before heading outside sends her deeper into her headspace knowing she can just be small.

Regressing alone is perfect for those higher anxiety days. She doesn’t have any worries about what others think because she’s snuggling with her stuffies or dancing in her PJs alone :)

Gem loves to send texts to her CGs when she’s alone. If they’re busy, she’s saying hi or sending long strings of emojis or just telling them what she’s up to. There’s not a single CG that is immune to the cuteness of texts from littles.

Gem truly loves all the aspects of her regression, wether she’s hanging out alone, with another little, her CG, or a whole group
