Chain of thorns epilogue spoiler!!!

I might have a lot of feelings about this book but does anyone else think of James in the epilogue, pencil behind his ear, showing Cordelia their planning room. Excited and free and so in love and just want to weep 😭 this boy deserved his happy ending.

And the bit with Will grumbling about them taking children on their travels— I’m going to need fan art of James carrying their son in a chest sling pronto!!

every time i open this app i am assaulted with the worst last hours takes ive ever seen

sorry but i don’t understand how she’s being selfish and “saving herself” they’re all in danger and she’s already miserable so really how is she saving herself? if you think cordelia is selfish then i don’t think you really know her character or choose to ignore what she’s going through

what throws me off in the excerpt is this line in particular

“yes, well, i turned out to be unworthy of wielding it and gave it to my brother which also by the way puts him in potentially mortal peril from not one but two very powerful demons”

….so like she knew?

and…..she gave it to Alastair???

Yup

That’s Cordelia being a selfish person, saving herself and leaving Alastair to pick up the mess she made

I cannot express how much I hate canon Cordelia

just by reading the chain of thorns excerpt i know it’s gonna be the best book of the trilogy (to me) cc knows how to keep you interested and intrigued i already want more😭😭
