Carnival Hearts

This is my pride and joy.

This is a trilogy I've been working on for the past two years now. I am slowly but steadily making progress, and it is the longest I have been able to work on a sinle project. I am simply so happy with it and sometimes I even manage to draw the characters.

Just so you get an idea of the vibes:

Venice carnival

14th century Italy

Mysterious powers

Unexplained murders

Sword duels

Eldrich threat

Flashmob type protests against the opressive government

Royalty and bodyguard

Mutual pining

This is the first story I've written where I really feel connected to every single character, good or bad, no matter how big or insignificant of a role they have in the story. Everyone is worked out and polished to almost perfection.

Not to mention, I managed to shove almost all of my favourite tropes in there. This is a true passion project, one that I am intending on publishing once I've finally edited the whole thing. I feel like, even though it may feel a bit fanfic-like, it can absolutely stand its ground.

I have a lot of love for this story, and I absolutely love thinking about it because every single chapter and interaction is meaningful and adds something to the whole plot. It really just feels like all my other stories led up to this point, where I can finally shove all my knowledge into one place and eventually show it to the world.

These are a part of a project I occasionally think about called S-DA, which is about a bunch of people who are able to channel their other dimensional selves to fight. It's a bit more complex than that but that's the idea xD

Some started out as part of a different project, but I decided to move them to this world because it was a good fit for them.
