had to go to hospital? double sucks, but i now know what an ambulance ride is like and what it's like to have an iv!!!! invaluable experiences for medical whump fics.

got nerve damage during said visit to hospital? triple sucks, but i've now unlocked a new way to hurt a blorbo.

if any walker fan for some reason thinks john walker deserves an apology from sam for “not agreeing to work together” then i think you watched walker almost kill a 2nd man (SAM WILSON HIMSELF) with your eyes closed??? truly baffling behaviour here.

Honestly, with all the tradwife cooking trash circulating, it only makes me love B Dylan Hollis more for baking vintage recipes while being openly gay, making sexual jokes, and screaming at the ingredients. The serum amplifies the consumer's largest traits. That is why Dr. Erskine was wary of having the initial pick for the super soldier serum to take it. He chose Steve because Steve was altruistic and wouldn't get consumed by his anger.

The power dynamic of the super soldier serum to Sam is the internal conflict that plagues Sam for FATWS and BNW. Sam's entire mentality is being the everyman, the non-supered superhero. He was able to accomplish that while acting as the Falson. However, his faith in his own ability to succeed as Captain America is shaken because of the serum Steve had.

Sam does not want the serum nor lured into taking the serum for the potential power he would have. A big theme of FSTWS deals with the super soldiers and how they became super. Primarily based on Bucky and Isaiah's tragic pasts, the flagsmashers' actions, Zemo's inherent hatred for super soldiers then topped off with John losing himself in his anger, Sam comes to the conclusion he'll do his best because he does not want to risk losing the characteristics of what made Steve give him the shield.

In BNW, Sam only recalls the super soldier serum conversations again due to Joaquin getting hurt. He directly says if he were fast enough, he would have prevented Joaquin's fall. Later, he makes the quip that he should have taken the serum because he is fighting a HULK.

The serum isn't about power but exaggerating what was already there. Though this is from the comics, Sam gets a version of the serum accidentally to save his life, and nothing changes. Part of Sam's story arc is his rejection of that kind of power repeatedly. One of the reasons Sam is unique among the other Captain Americas is he does the role sans serum.
