You know what I just realized? The latter seasons never lived up to the first season because the first season was about Rust and Marty. The Dora Lang case was just a litmus test for the audience to see how both of them would react in the same intense situation. We got, what, two or three episodes after the supposed solving of the case that dove deep into the psychology of the characters?
