The Schwinn 430 seems to be their best selling elliptical machine. Its their budget model and they have done well with it because most feel its a great value for the price. Its a solid machine, for this price range, but only costs around $600. It doesnt really have any spectacular features but it has a solid frame and a fairly smooth and quiet ride. The feel of the machine is more important than most of those extra features anyway.

This Schwinn elliptical machine has 8 different resistance levels and 8 workout programs to vary your workouts and make them more effective. Its quick start function gives you the ability to change your resistance while exercising making it easier for you to push your elliptical workout to the next level. You can also track the progress of your workout with the feedback programs. This model has a BioGlide motion technology that provides a smooth ride with an 18 inch stride length.

This is a compact front drive elliptical machine measuring 59 inches long and 26 inches wide. It also has transport wheels making it easy to move. For those with a small or multi-use space this could be a nice feature.

There dont seem to be a lot of serious complaints about this elliptical trainer, but complaints include the LCD display being too small or hard to read in certain light. Some complain about the assembly, but that seems to be a common complaint with many ellipticals. One other drawback is that the labor warranty is only 90 days the frame and parts are 15 years and 2 years respectively, but the labor is only 90 days.

Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer

The Schwinn 431 elliptical machine also offers a smooth, quiet ride with an 18 inch stride length and bio-directional pedaling which allows you to pedal either forward or backward. This model also offers a variety of workout programs including programs for heart rate and calorie goal as well as two custom and a manual program option and sixteen resistance levels.

This Schwinn elliptical model has a better back lit LCD display with feedback programs. The 431 has the same compact design as the 430, also front drive, and wheels so it can be easily moved. The 431 has a slightly better warranty, 15 years on frame, 2 years on parts but 6 months on labor.

Schwinn 460 Elliptical Trainer

The Schwinn 460 is their high end model that has a V-Stride technology allowing you to change stride lengths without a manual adjustment. It has 16 different elliptical workout programs, 11 of which were designed by the Nautilus Institute. These 11 programs include instructional messages to help you use your stride length and leg motions to get the best results.

This model has a computerized drive system, fixed and moving hand grips, articulating pedals to help lower the impact on your heels, and a nice back lit touchscreen console.

This is a larger, heavier model, but unfortunately it doesnt have a better labor warranty. The frame and parts are the same as the other models but the labor warranty is only 90 days.

If youre looking for a lower priced elliptical machine that has a good, solid feel the Schwinn elliptical may be a good fit, especially the 430 or 431. Most users have been quite happy with them and their moderate price.
