I really hope this ask comes across how I mean for it to, I'm having a hard time wording it :(

A few days ago, I saw a post about a Current Popular Canon Nonbinary Character (whose name I don't want to say to keep your blog out of the fandom's tags) that essentially went something like "you know for a fact this character is TMA because [insert a list of very generic things that are relatable to most autistic teenagers] and the pronouns people default to using are STILL he/him." I don't remember everything said in the post, but I do remember one of the things listed was the fact that they had a "dysphoria sweater" they wore all the time, because it confused me very much since. Well, one, wearing oversized and baggy clothing to hide your body due to dysphoria is an extremely common trans experience, and two because before this I've really only ever seen the term "dysphoria sweater/hoodie" being used by transmascs. (Not to imply no one else can use the term, this is just meant to say that I know for a fact that having a dysphoria hoodie is a common trans experience and isn't exclusive to someone being transfem/"TMA")

And I should say that one: I don't know anything about this character beyond what the people around me have said, if they're intentionally coded to be transfem in some way then that is my bad for not knowing! But I was under the impression they weren't intended to be transmasc OR transfem, they were just nonbinary with they/them pronouns. And I don't have an issue with headcanons, but the way this particular post was phrased made it seem like the poster thought it was transmisogynistic to headcanon/view this character as anything EXCEPT transfem.

I don't know if this comes across well at all, it's a lot easier to understand what I mean if you can see the post, but I don't have it anymore (and even if I did I obviously wouldn't put it here), but it did just leave a really gross taste in my mouth even if I don't have any attachment to this character. I'm sure it's obvious what character I'm talking about in this post so if someone with more knowledge wants to say I'm wrong about this feel free, I'm only going by knowledge of the game I've learned from friends.
