In this large prospective study, the consumption of sugary drinks was positively associated with the risk of overall cancer and breast cancer. 100% fruit juices were also positively associated with the risk of overall cancer.
Interestingly, artificially sweetened beverages were not associated with the risk of cancer.
-Now the question begs: how about those “healthy” smoothies then?

Ingredients
2 cups oats — quick cooking or old fashioned
2 large very ripe bananas
2 large eggs
1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
2 to 3 tablespoons honey*
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder — I prefer aluminum free
