I’ve seen SO MANY people be like

“Kai’s an over protective brother/father he hates Jay/Roby.”

W H A T ???!!!

Like idk how people misunderstand Kai’s character SO BAD but somehow they do!!!

Kai has ALWAYS supported Nya & Jays relationship. In the beginning he wasn’t to please but that’s because that’s his little sister and some rando dude was hitting on her before they even met.

But AFTER they officially met he just teased Jay (his friend) about his crush on his sister never outright hating him for it- just bullied him a bit.

Once Nya and Jay where going out Kai respected their relationship, covering his eyes when he walked in on them talking alone. Helped Jay with his proposal. No bad blood.

He’s the same with WyldFyre! Roby sends her a selfie she’s SO excited!!! Kai just wants to see he’s nosey. She replies and Kai adds a little him in the corner for fun!

I am convinced that the animators, the set designers, the game developers, and book authors ship Lava

The Animators: do I have to say more? Like these two have so many gay and romantic looking moments in the show. I’m convinced that some of the animators ship them.

The Set Designers: In the Master of the Mountain wave. There is a set called the “Firestone Mech”. It’s half red and half grey, so fire and earth, which represents Kai and Cole’s color and element. The name also represents both of them and their element, hence the name Firestone. Also the mech is built for two pilots. Not just one, but for TWO. For both Kai and Cole. This set is pretty much a Lava set.

The Game Developers: In Shadow of Ronin, both Kai and Cole has a lot of moments together. In Lego Brawls, for the confirmation screen for the Ninjago theme, both Kai and Cole were the characters chosen to be in the confirmation screen.

The book authors: In Ninjago 5 minute stories, Kai and Cole have a whole chapter about them. Kai only has 1 life left in Prime Empire and was afraid to lose it. The whole chapter was about Cole helping Kai through his anxiety and beating the games they pass by

Also, the way these two pages describes them. It’s very fanfiction-y and kind of romantic in a way. The way the author wrote them shows the feelings that they have about each other is very deep on trust.

That’s my thought on the thing.

I’m convinced that the those who work on Ninjago. Whether it be the animators, set designers, game developers, or authors. Are huge lavashippers, and are all in on it.
