First of all… Happy Happy Birthday~! It is now time to celebrate you and your wonderful soul. You are truly the best maknae and one of the best people that God placed in my life. Being the younger brother, I’ve always thought about what it must feel like to watch someone younger than me grow and be there for their achievements and failures. Pick them up when they fall, get their heart broken or fail in school but also be present for when they succeed in something they had been aching for a very long time. You have given me the experience of what it’s like being an older brother and I couldn’t ask for a better younger sibling than you. Even though we are not blood related, what bounds us together is much stronger than a family bound: friendship. Sometimes, I end up thinking of just how much I cherish your friendship and even though we are not together all day, every day, nothing seems to change between us.

We have known each other for a few years now, haven’t we? And even throughout my whining and how annoyingly loud I might be (most of the times) you have always accepted this hyung with your whole heart. You are truly one of the best people I ever stumbled upon and since we have finally reached the day where we are supposed to celebrate your amazing self, I have finally got a solid reason to express my appreciation towards you and you can’t do anything about it or say anything against it! It’s tough being the birthday boy, RIGHT? ㅋㅋ

Ahh.. you know, I love you so much, my maknae. You have a huge heart, filled with goodness and greatness. I know that you’ll achieve everything you ache for within the future and you’ll be a very successful man. Even if it pains my heart to see you grow (for someone reason I feel like a proud father, as well) I also get this huge sensation of happiness and I am certain to say it’s because of how proud I am of you. Of all these years that have gone by and you have always proved everyone that didn’t believe you, wrong. You’ve shown everyone your true value when they didn’t believe it and your will power is just over the top. It requires an amazing person to do amazing things, you know~? Just let that sink in… And whenever you feel like you’re any less than what you really are, you know where to find me. I’ll always make sure you know who you are. Who you truly are.

I don’t want to nag you much longer so I’ll just say that I hope this birthday happens to be the best ever {`cues EXO’s ‘Twenty Four’} and that you spend it well with everyone you love so much who are the same people that cherish you, entirely along with Vivi. she’s about to throw a real temper tantrum over text (seolhyun really, really loves her dogs), but she raises her head just in time to see the lanky, vaguely familiar silhouette of a man approaching her at a steady pace. a glance at her phone tells her that he really did keep his promise and got to their agreed meeting spot on time. stuffing her phone back in her pocket, she shifts her weight from one foot to another in order to at least try and keep warm until they finally get moving. at this point, she’s a real human icicle. 

“well, well, well! took you long enough! i’m really half-frozen… seriously… what do they do to you in that building? lock the doors and forbid you from leaving?” she attempts to joke, but then deadpans because, well. it’s sm. maybe it’s not too far from the truth, so she clears her throat and attempts to deviate from that topic. “ehm… so, we’re ready to go, right?”

( SMS : 설현  ) I WASN’T ATTACKING YOUR DOG!! POPCORN IS, WELL, UNIQUE... ( SMS ) but you know what, silly name or not, no one can deny either of our dog’s cuteness, that’s for sure... ㅜㅜ

sehun’s panting by the time he’s caught up with the female, something he passes off with a familiar grin that he hopes is distracting enough for her once he’s an arm’s distance away. before the small animal in his arms has a chance to get too comfy, however, the male’s setting him down onto the ground, knowing the dog would eventually coax himself into interacting with (and getting to know) the other in just a few moments. the grip he has on his leash is rather loose, but the maknae prefers it that way. he prides himself in knowing that he’s trained his dog well enough for him to not stray too far from his father.

“hello to you, too! no one told you to be... right on time! who does that in today’s day and age, huh?” rather than dwelling on her joke, the male’s more pleased at the lack of reprimand he receives from his friend, hoping he’d get out of it with a few jokes. it hasn’t even been a few minutes before the male feels the tips of his fingers grow numb, and at her inquiry, he nods in affirmation; choosing to waste no time and step into a familiar stride with seolhyun as soon as she begins walking. sehun finds his gaze unconsciously straying down at their dogs, an amused expression taking form. “how can you even crave bubble tea in this kind of weather? and this is coming from a bubble tea fanatic.”

“Well yeah, it did hurt a bit,” Sehun’s expression is pained as he rubs at his head, the dull ache serving as a reminder of his previous impact with the wall. There’s a small pout on his face – an unconscious one, that the maknae hopes isn’t present when he speaks out once more. If it were anyone else, he’d drag out the painful expression for dramatics out of playfulness, but the last thing he wanted was for her to feel guilty. After all, he knew the female meant no harm when she popped out to scare him, so he ends up giving her a small grin, pout long gone whilst he sticks one thumb up. “… But eey … no need to feel like one. I blame my clumsiness!”

OOHSEHUN ⁹⁴ : “Hyung, you’re supposed to be the sensible one here.” Sehun’s pout practically resonated through the line -- the leash in his hand loosening the more his dog continued to walk around in small circles. He could tell Vivi was anxious to get out -- Sehun, mirroring his anxiousness with an excited grin. If there was one thing the maknae disliked, it was being cooped up inside, with nothing to do and no one to bother. He often found himself trying to get out any chance he could get, and with this beautiful snowy weather, who could say no? 

“I’m taking Vivi to the beach again. Y’sure you don’t want to come along ~ ?” Sehun singsongs into the phone, yearning to coax his leader into joining him on his outing. “You can even bring along Byul! We won’t get sick, I promise!”
