burned a few braincells trying to figure out the subway lair 🧍‍♂️

some of the research with hasty notes as i, a country person, tried to essentially explain how subways work to my city friends (idk how subways work). anyway, i figured i'd share these in case there's someone out there who's just as crazy as i am! :]

Absolutely adore the thought of Leo toning down his one liners and puns immensely after the Krang, only for April out of everyone to be the one to call him out for it.

They have the same sense of humor, after all. Most everyone else has grown to tune out Leo’s little jokes, and he still makes them, just…very sparingly. Just enough to keep it from being overtly noticeable.

But April notices, because it’s fun to hear what dumb pun Leo may say next. It’s one of the main things they bond over, so to see it slowly dwindle away and die out is…scary, to her.

So as the certified best big sister, she takes it upon herself to drag Leo out of his slump by speaking solely in puns until he cracks and starts shooting them back, not knowing how much he missed them until they’re both on the floor laughing as the rest of their family looks on in fond exasperation.
