actually yeah. dowed verily does need a redemption arc. i just put her there because the spoiled bitch princess is Such A Staple of the Betrayed By The Hero's Party types. but there's never really much attempt to give her depth or motive. what's her aim in putting down the protagonist? what does she stand to gain from this? does she want the hero's favor, if yes, why? does she personally hate the protag, if yes, why?

especially since i'm now yknow, also more actively thinking abt how utterly Fucked "everyone gets given an rpg job title by the gods" is as like, a setting (which the [TO ME] heavy hitter "Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside" actually also explores in how much the chosen hero fucking hates being the chosen hero)

i could like keep watching Shield Hero to find out if it ever does anything interesting with Malty as a character but also i don't want to keep watching Shield Hero because the levels of waifubait are inhospitable to me. you fucking know what i mean god it's gross.
