Sometimes when I look twitter or other websites, I get this boondocks nigga moment type of event but from the white guy's perspective but with teenagers instead of black people. I see some person on the internet make an incredibly arrogant and stupid claim about history or media that is blatantly wrong. I want to disprove them by getting into an internet argument, but then I look at their bio and realize they are a teenager. Like the white guy from the nigga moment, I laugh and move on since I'm an adult.

2011 magazine autism alert!

So I grabbed a mess of what some people would consider "poverty" 2011 magazines (not $90-120 a magazine)

So- I have a Checkmate, prodigy, and Mec-Gar magazine.

The prodigy is made by Duramag, check-mate and Mec-Gar are both the root OEM for those mags.

Duramag and check-mate both stick to The standard 2nd gen pattern, but Mec-Gar looks more like a 1st gen.

Right to left: mec-gar, prodigy/duramag, checkmate.

Other notable differences, the base plate on the mec-gar is clipped to the bottom of the spring, And most importantly-

It does not use the same style of self-centering follower that most other 2011 magazines have used for years.

The mec-Gar follower is straight, not flared like the others-

(top two are are Duramag, bottom two are check-mate)

Instead, they modified the profile of the magazines slightly to self-center with the straight wall magazine follower. Of course, this means you can't use anyone else's followers in this magazine, but unlike the other two 126 mm magazines that only hold 17, the mec-gar holds 18.

I haven't really pushed any of these magazines, the only one I have more than a box of ammo through is the checkmate.

August 10 2025, during a raid against Philippine fishing vessels inside Philippine waters, a Chinese coast guard Type 056 corvette accidentally collided with a Chinese navy Type 052D destroyer, after attempting to ram a Philippine navy ship.

The corvette suffered heavy structural damage and was rendered unseaworthy, while the destroyer only suffered cosmetic damage.

The Philippine navy immediately tried to offer aid to the Chinese vessels, which was ignored as they limped back to Chinese waters.
