Paul and John, wearing their yellow submarine movie outfits, for the wonderful @iceeclaw!! MANY THANKS TO HIM!! I watched the 1968 yellow submarine movie before I made this, and the traditional animation + watercolor backgrounds gave it such a unique vibe, I just really wanted to do something that would match. So I asked if I could color this drawing traditionally, and he said yes!! Which I was SO happy about, cuz it gave me the opportunity to flex creative muscles in my brain that I don't normally use.

For this drawing, I used watercolors, colored pencils, and acrylic paints. I went in not knowing what the heck I was gonna do, but I wound up using the colored pencils like I'd use a regular pencil (but with color obviously lol), then filling in a lot of bits and pieces of everything with watercolor, and doing some details with acrylic paint. It took a while, but I had a lot of fun!!

Look all im gonna say is Odysseus spent TWENTY YEARS using his family as a guide and motivation to press onward. Around half of that was spent just trying to get home! This man literally went to hell and back to see his family again! This is man who can and has murdered a castle full of people single handedly (with just a little help from his son) bc they threatened to hurt his boy. After all that hardship, he more than deserves to carry a new member of his family. Let this man have the best fucking retirement he could dream of.

Having fond flashbacks to reading The Odyssey in high school rn...

reasons that he is so mpreg-able aside, it is actually somewhat plausible that he is currently, as we speak, mpregnant. the new gravity falls book, the book of bill, had a website that was released to promote the book and also relay a bunch of new fun information and arg things. this new book, in universe, is written with the intent to be read by ford, and for the website, it is showcasing ford's laboratory. so one could view all of the material with the perspective of it being directed at ford.

one of these messages on the website is an image of an ultrasound of a baby-- a triangular baby. on it, there is the message "congrats, guess what's growing inside you right now! see you in nine months, papa!"

so…. ford might be mpregnant with his ex, bill ciphers baby. yayyyy."

i’ve been inspired by all the communal monkee bed art i’ve seen recently to finally check monkee bed off my drawing list and oughh i actually can’t stop staring at them…. my cutes….. they’re so little and small and sleepy and they’re a family !!!!
