Junior stood at the edge of the cliff, watching the waves below crash upon the shore. Sea mist lightly spraying his face. The air was pleasantly chilly, everything was cast in pale shades of blue and pink. Everything was perfect, just the way he liked it. Yet he still had a funny feeling in the pit of stomach. Everything was too perfect, like the peace before a storm. In his mind he played back the events of the day. He finally finished his sentence at Belle Reve, he was finally a free man…Sure he still had a parole officer watching him like a hawk, making sure he wasn’t gonna ‘act up’ or anything and a therapist he had to visit at least twice a week…But Junior could handle that….He had no idea why he chose to come to this place of all places. It was a place he used to visit when he was kid. He took a swig of doctor pepper, he turned his hand into ice and shot a small wisp of ice around the soda can to cool it down, then downed the whole thing…He heard footsteps crunching in the sand, coming from behind him, he turned to look who it was….
