I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices this but I just have point it out…

I know that the original concept was that the descendant’s character designs were based of the original Disney animated characters, but let’s be forreal the characters didn’t really look like their parents…

Besides similar (sometimes barely) colour pallets Mal doesn’t really look like the Disney animated Maleficent.

But she does look like…

And it keeps going…

For crying allowed both Belle (OUAT) and Ben are played by Australians… coincidence! I think not🖤

Bucky Barnes Emoji HC's Part 3

Prompt here. Note: This is all eras of Bucky and some 616! Comic Bucky as well. This is extra long because of all the eras and the meta involved.

𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄.🌈 RAINBOW — what is your oc’s sexual orientation/gender identity? what pronouns do they use? Bucky always considered himself bi/pansexual. Bucky was part of  1940’s underground LGBT scene. He wasn’t seriously active, but he did visit some gay bars, and he did have some male lovers . He also had feelings for Steve, but never acted on them (or if there’s an AU, then yes!). He still feels the same way with different genders. He uses he/his pronouns. 🎄 CHRISTMAS TREE — what is your oc’s favorite holiday? Bucky liked most holidays growing up, and surprisingly, the troops during the War were encouraged to celebrate the holidays to keep morale high. Nowadays, he isn’t sure. He hasn’t celebrated the holidays in 70 years. When he was younger, he might have joked it was St. Patrick’s Day because he’s Irish, which gave him an excuse to drink. Personally, I think Bucky would have to rediscover the holidays - preferably with someone like Steve or a S.O. to figure out what he likes. 🐶 DOG FACE — does your oc have any pets? Yes, in the comics, he has Alpine, a white female cat.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends? Even when he was a young man, he always put Steve as his number 1. He had other friends, but Steve always came first. He had school friends and later work friends. He was also close to the Howling Commandos. After the Winter Soldier business, he struggles with the idea that he can be anyone’s friend, including Steve’s. It takes time for him to be convinced otherwise. Later, he has Sam, Shuri, and eventually a few of the other Avengers. 🐷 PIG FACE — what is your oc’s favorite animal? He’s always loved dogs and owls. He also has a fondness for goats after working with them in Wakanda. However, he does not like horses after a childhood incident on his Uncle’s farm. 🐉 DRAGON — what is your oc’s favorite mythical creature? A dragon, for sure. He found Smaug so interesting and loved the Hobbit and later Lord of the Rings. He’d also potentially enjoy DnD if he was brought to an event. 🍃 LEAVES FLUTTERING IN WIND — what is/was your oc’s favorite subject in school? Anything science or tech related! He wanted to be an engineer growing up. He especially wanted to work at somewhere like Stark Labs. He thought Howard was screwing with him when he said he’d hire Bucky and would pay for his education. (Prior to the G.I. Bill’s creation.) Bucky still didn’t believe it fully at the time of his “death”, but he definitely had hope for the first time in ages. 🌴 PALM TREE — does your oc have a green thumb? do they enjoy gardening? His family on his mom’s side were farmers, whereas his dad’s side of the family worked in factories, so Bucky was around farms a lot before moving to Brooklyn, and his family would go to Indiana every year after. Bucky didn’t touch plants again until his time in Romania, where he had a single potted plant sitting on his windowsill that he kept alive - and did well with it! He also did well in Wakanda and would do decently with his own garden. He likes the idea of helping things grow and keeping them alive.  (Comic Bucky lived in Indiana before moving to Camp Lehigh. He doesn’t live in a house with a yard again until he buys a home in Indiana.) 🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace? Bucky was born in Shelbyville, Indiana, canonically in the comics and MCU. Bucky returned to Indiana in the comics for a short time. He still has a special fondness for it because that’s when his mother was alive. (In the comics.) He seems to really miss living there and has mentioned it in the comics. For the MCU, I hc that he returned to Indiana once a year to visit his mom’s family farm. I like the idea of Bucky having some connection to his family in Indiana, but IDK how likely that would be in comparison to the comics. Bucky is proud to be from where he’s from. Yes, he dealt with jokes about Indiana being in the middle of nowhere and that part of his family was rural, but he didn’t really care.

Another Marvel Fic idea, okay so i recently saw a post that was like, what if Howard Stark tried to recreate the serum and he tested it on Tony yadayadayada that not really important but it gives context on how I thought of this.

BUT IMAGINE if Howard had another kid, older than Tony (specifically a daughter because im imagining Emma Dumont as Polaris for the fc) and like Howard tries to recreate the serum and he tests it on her and like she ‘dies’ or something but tony was really young so he has vague memories of his older sister and like its just silently agreed upon to never speak about her.

Until years later Fury is talking about bringing someone else into the Avengers initiative, and Tony is just… thats my big sister, and he is like shook because not only is she alive but she looks the same as she did when she died, and she hasn’t aged a day. OR MAYBE takes place Age of Ultron and she gets found with Wanda and Pietro and And then, idk something happens thats all i got so far.

No matter what they say about robin jason, his death is always going to be Bruce’s fault. And not in an abstract ‘batman’s greatest failure’ way. I mean you can’t have a kid die, violently, from a threat the parent knew about, and it not be their fault. Its negligence. It’s a failure of care. And yes, Sheila is responsible, the joker is responsible, but Bruce was his legal guardian. If it was a school teacher who told him ‘hey I’m leaving but there’s a serial killer around, so don’t get into trouble’ then came back to a corpse, that teacher would be super duper liable.

Its just funny to me, we cut batman more slack than we would a regular parent who isn’t a genius super ninja.

Do you have any particular feelings on the Chappel Roan thing? I just thought it was interesting since you’re both considered entertainers of a kind who people occasionally look to for political opinions and her recent interview has a lot of people bashing her based on the fact that a lot of what she built her platform on is considered political but she wants to be left out of politics. No malice just curious.

I haven't seen this interview, but being popular to any extent inadvertently makes you a mouthpiece for your respective views. That means anyone with any level of fame holds political responsibility and influence that someone with a smaller sphere of influence does not. Even if one wishes to come off as apolitical, politics isn't something someone can simply choose to turn off when it becomes convenient for them to do so.

Unfortunately for her, a portion of her fame stems from being seen as a figure considered 'against the cultural grain' - and people looked up to her for that; and she was quite vocal about it too. It served her well to garner the support of that respective demographic. I think now that she's famous and successful, she believes she can have her cake and eat it too. Her fame is partially based off the laurels of anti-traditionalism, anti-traditionalism that she proudly embraced as a part of her character and belief set, now that she's a rich girl, comfortably sat at the same table where traditionalism is celebrated and retained (for her respective industry), she hopes to pretend she never had any part in that movement. She might even feign ignorance to her part... "why are you asking me, a mere pop girl about politics?" she might say - when feigning ignorance, pretending it's okay to hold her position without the cultural bearings of said position, is a political statement in itself - and a really bad one to make. It means she never cared about the groups she chose to identify with as leverage for her fame. Mere stepping stools. I can see why some might be upset by that.
