(he said that last part in his head trust me). his dopey proud adoring smile when she threatened violence in 2x03. TWICE. her casually lying on his bed while he stares solemnly out a window. peak best friends (kind of) as coparents with something freaky going on under the surface excellence to me.

Yesss!! They've fully gotten to a place of understanding in this episodes, and Klaus is so delighted at all of the darkness that cones from Hayley's transition and grief. They truly are vibing together at the beginning of that season! 🥰

God, the way Klaus says Hayley's name in season 5. Just full of grief, heartbreak, and desperation. The ENTIRE season, that man was in agony without her.

this i remember the times when the show was on. If you even said anything shipping Klayley you would get 10 or 20 comments saying how stupid you were, so most of us kept quiet. and the writers still rewarded them in season 5 and we got shit hahaha. fuckign hell

I don't know if this has been said before, but honestly, loving a ship that's beautifully developed, with strong screentime, mutual obsession, emotional intensity, and deep nuance only to see it either heavily misinterpreted by a biased or not so bright fandom, or worse, completely overlooked because the fandom fails to grasp or appreciate it, is way more frustrating than loving a rare pair or a ship with zero screentime. Especially when that same fandom chooses to obsess over a popular ship with no real material, no substance, and no canonical foundation, just blind hype and made up feelings pushed by the fandom itself

That's why I always shipped them. They do what they have to do, whether bad or not. If avoidable, they may avoid, but if they have to chop a head off, they arent shy to do it. And they dont really judge each other for doing it. The writers missed the opportunity of putting Klaus with a person who understood him, who was his equal as a wolf, an alpha and then as a hybrid...but was way less psycho than him so she could have guided him on lesser bloodbath ways (what camille was doing, i guess?) and yes they freaking loved each other fiercely, whether as friends, in laws or soulmates that never said it out loud and remained friends. the writer fucked us all royally

i'm also really starting to hate klayley, i just acknowledge that they’re insanely in love and are horrible people who deserve each other

We know that Klaus is freaking out because Hayley is missing, he's running the whole city down, but what if Hayley hadn't been kidnapped, how would Klaus react if he walked into the room and found Hayley in a coffin? Would he hug her or what would he say to her? I can't stop thinking about it. This ship deserved a chance.
