Thinking about some closeted military male!reader stuff today.
I feel like most cod men are okay with gay but the idea of dating men never come to their head. So the male!reader is probably not a love interest for any of them at the beginning. Being a part of military system, the reader will try his best to act like a heterosexual man anyway.
The first one to notice that the reader is not so straight is Simon. Surprisingly. He has always been an observer, he notices all small things, and he doesn't say a word. I don't think Simon cares about the reader's sexuality, the reader is a fine soldier and that's what matters. However, during his sleep, Simon will probably think of a certain scene earlier that day. For example, the reader's rough hand accidently brushed his. Then Simon will suddenly shot his eyes open and stare at the ceiling, bi panic as hell, for hours.
The second one to notice is Gaz. He would definitely want to figure it out, but he's also a good bro and doesn't want the reader to feel uncomfortable. He pays more attention to the reader though. That's when he notices how sweet this dude is and the curiousity turned into his own bicuriosity.
Captain Price doesn't have a clue for a long time. He probably knows that the reader is hiding something, but everyone has their own secret, right? He would never know it's about sexuality until one day the reader tell him so. The captain blinks once, then twice, before his brain functions again. Of course he'll be supportive at the end of the day, but is it shocking? Yes. There are so much for him to learn about, he'll probably search for "how to support your gay colleague" at some point.
The last one to notice is Johnny, he doesn't even notice a thing when he makes the reader blushing. Through jokes or physical touch. Nah it's not gay for Johnny, just some friendly interactions between two bros. He thinks a lot after the realisation of the fact though. Johnny thinks of his bro's smile and the way he steal a glance at him. The train of thoughts is unstoppable. There will be time when Johnny realize a brojob between the reader and him is inevitable.
I'm thinking about Los Vaqueros and other characters as well. Gonna keep improving my English so I can write fanfic 🥹

Hey there, first time posting here, kinda nervous and I hope I'm doing this right! Also English is not my first language so sorry if there are some mistakes.
I want to see a slow burn relationship with Simon.
I'm thinking about a female reader that is a new co-worker of Simon's. It's not a love at first time kind of thing, at least not for Simon. I mean, she seems nice. Calm, collected, probably a little bit serious. Overall just your normal good co-worker and nothing more.
But it'll be kinda cute if she actually finds Simon attractive and just trying to be professional.
She’s trying hard to do her job, and actually she‘s doing pretty good! I want to see a reader that is more of a trustworthy companion than a love interest at the beginning. She doesn’t talk much when she's on a mission, but she chuckles a little at Simon's puns on comms.
And it might be a little bit surprising for Simon, considering how serious his co-worker usually is.
The second thing Simon notices is that the reader gives good compliments. It‘s usually about him taking a good shot, and it feels kinda good. Really genuine and on point.
As the mission goes on, both of them are feeling more comfortable exchanging bad jokes. I'd like to imagine that the reader has soothing voice, and she always talk in a calm way. Banter included.
Simon will soon realize that he kinda likes it when she‘s talking.
Taking orders. Giving orders. Even an interrogation session. She talks like everything is under control all the time. Of course most of the time the mission is tough, but she‘s making efforts to keep her boys’ spirits up.
And well it works.
So now Simon Riley is paying attention to his co-worker. Good.
---
Probably will be a part 2.
