Almost two months ago, I made a post to share Mahmoud's fundraiser. Since then he only raised €500. Since then he also lost his uncle who was like a father to him.

He already lost so much, yet he is constantly posting on twitter to ask for help to evacuate Gaza, help his family and continue his studies. I cannot express how desastruous it feels to see his tweets gets thousands of views with no donations, imagine then how it must feel for him. Two weeks ago he was tweeting about how he finally got a €50 donation after days without anything. It has been months now that he express how he is losing hope and thinking of stopping, of not posting anymore because of the lack of help he receives. And since then nothing changed.

I am posting his campaign here in the hope that the tumblr community will be more receptive to his plight and not ignore him like so many are doing.

Please consider donating to Mahmoud and sharing as widely as possible his campaign. He is currently at €5,370/€10,000, so €4,630 left. Let's try to help him get to his goal as soon as possible!

Teachers need to be publicly told that putting limits on student's bathroom access should be considered a human rights violation and will be looked back on as one of the strongest pieces of evidence that children were once an oppressed minority in the future. Put it in terms that fucking stark. Don't let them win.

The Box

A metaphorical way of looking at abusive situations for a child at home. These could be various different scenarios, but in some cases, there is only one victim targeting for blame. Think of the immediate family dynamic as a box. All the child knows is their parent(s)/guardian(s). Perhaps they have siblings as well, who follow along, since it is also all they know. The child takes part in their natural human curiosity and takes a look at the world around them, and realizes, there could be a way this could be better. There could be a reason they do not feel comfortable in their own home. There could be a reason that their situation may be abusive. They explore these questions, and as they look for answers, they are discovered breaking the safety of the confined way of living for the family. The child is now a victim. Narcissistic parents can be prone to lashing out at people who dare defy what they believe as the right way to live. For a distant family member, or an adult who knows the parent, this may be easy to avoid. However, for the victim, it is not.

There is no escape for a minor who will be stuck with one foot forcefully being held inside the box by the parent(s), and the other foot firmly planted outside the box. There are even times where the victim's own sibling(s) turn against them. Mental torture is a terrifyingly fascinating occurrence that will be mental and sometimes physical destruction for the victim. You should be upset. You should be frustrated. You should want to fight for childrens rights. Make a disturbance. Make a disruption. Do what you can to attract eyes onto the insane stigmatization of child abuse.

Summer

A scary topic for many children trapped in abusive households. For a lot of minors, school is a getaway from the dangerous reality of their home situations. As the months long break rolls into view, those kids will have to endure unbelievable mental and/or physical pain. Why, as a human being, do they not have a right to dictate where and who they could stay with during their break? The answer is simple. Children are not human beings. Whether the law addresses it as such or not, children are considered property by both law and their parents. Stigmatized ageism is a damning, global issue terrorizing those unlucky enough to experience child abuse in their own homes, where they should be safe and happy. Does it bother you, as a fellow human being, that others in/have been in your position, are trapped and mistreated by the people they have been raised to believe loved and trusted them? That those people are being treated like extensions of their parents rather than individuals? Does it make you upset and wonder why the world would allow such an obvious form of abuse to be institutionalized? That human emotions are being dismissed and invalidated simply because of the fact that they are young? You should be upset. You should be wondering. You should be exploring this reality, a reality you can change by raising your voice about this matter. Your silence is allowing the cycle to continue. The smallest act can make the biggest impact. Do not forget that.

being a child is so hard in america.

CPS just came back, and it resulted in them totally invalidating my abuse despite being uneducated.

AND while i was trying to stay in contact with the worker by email (our phone calling & text services are gone :(), it resulted in my birth mom looking through my youtube looking for my email. with the fuckin worker just standing there, saying it was okay!

in the end that bitch worker didn't even give me her email. don't need it. don't come back.

thankfully i showed her my school acc and she believed it after a while; and she only checked youtube
