For the first time in US history, young adults are less educated than their parents. By 2018, 63% of all jobs will require post-secondary education -- 22 million more college educated workers then we have presently.

...and I have the T-shirt to prove it!! Hubby and I hiked most of The Boulevard Trail (8 miles) all the way into #LeConteLodge and took the Alum Cave Bluffs Trail (5.5 miles) on the way down. My muscles are screaming but the scenery was gorgeous.

5 WAYS TO DECORATE A SMALL HOUSE WHEN YOU HAVE NO STORAGE
So, I don’t blog much but I was so proud of my decoration-storage solutions I came up with yesterday for my living room, I felt like I needed to share.
I have a townhouse, so storage sometimes becomes an issue.
Luckily when you’re in the film industry / have tons of books that need to be stored, displaying items instead of tucking them away into an abyss of a closet is the better option.
1. HAVE A HOBBY/LOVE YOUR JOB? LET YOUR FRIENDS KNOW.
People know what I do just by looking at the decorations in my house. It’s kind of cool getting to display bits and pieces of your memories / favorite things.
2. DECORATIVE. SHELVES.
Dude, if you haven’t ever done a DIY project, start here. The easiest thing you can do and not mess up. Wood + paint + L Brackets + an electric screwdriver = your newest favorite home decor item.
3. USE YOUR STORAGE ITEMS AS CREATIVE DECOR.
I literally have piles of books on almost every corner of my home. I just make them look semi cute, put a candle on top of it and BOOM. Done.
4. GOODWILL + PAINT = SUCCESS
Any sort of bin / hutch / storage container can be vamped up with a coat of spraypaint. I suggest neutral colors because I adore neutrals, but a pop of your favorite accent color on a few bins can make you look super organized, even though it might not be your forte.
5. DO WHAT YOU GENUINELY LIKE.
Each person’s home is different. What I’ve seen in my friends homes would NEVER work in my weird little L-shaped living room / dining room / office / kitchen. Each room is a canvas you get to play with. Move stuff around! Get the feel for your own space, then decorate around that. I moved my furniture around at least 4 times before I finally fell in love with my set up.
YOU DO YOU.
Much love <3

Fabulous 40's
The very best thing about being a woman in her late 40's is that other peoples' opinion of you no longer affect you. When people complement you and think you are great, you appreciate it but you understand your flaws enough to know you're not that great (and you've embraced it and are OK with it). When people dislike you and talk behind your back, it doesn't make you feel bad. On the contrary, you feel sorry for them because you understand they are still struggling with issues and that's why they talk about other people. God is good and I'm thankful He loves me and that is all that matters. Amen and Amen.
