It's 9pm on Thursday night. I just received another text from my landlord.

For all I know my landlord will file something first thing in the morning and I'll be served before noon. I need some sales to come in immediately. It's been over a week since he told told me he would be filling for eviction and sue for back rent. A quick look at my PayPal informed me that my sales fell by 3/4 from last year when my mom was in the hospital.

Please. Someone. For the love of art and artists, buy some art! Even if you can only put a deposit down right now.

Huh I got Klepto on my test... because I thought the emphasis was on the word TAKE

I was like... Well how do I figuratively TAKE something?

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
