Indulge in the irresistible combination of rich chocolate cake donuts with a luscious Nutella filling. These donuts are a delightful treat for any chocolate lover.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 large egg. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup Nutella for filling. 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting. Oil for frying as needed.
Instructions: Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat the egg, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in a different bowl. After adding the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, thoroughly mix them together. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch on a surface dusted with flour. Cut out doughnut shapes with a donut or round cookie cutter, then use a smaller cutter to make holes in the middle. Preheat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Gently place the donuts into the heated oil and cook, rotating them from time to time, until they turn a golden brown. It ought to take two to three minutes on each side. After taking the donuts out of the oil, drain any excess oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels. Once the donuts are cool enough to handle, pipe Nutella into the center of each one using a pastry bag. Add powdered sugar to the donuts filled with Nutella. While still warm, serve the Chocolate Cake Donuts with Nutella Filling and enjoy!
