Animal Hybrid Mormor Prompts
Sebastian Moran, a 23 year old tiger hybrid who looked more tiger than man, had convinced everyone he’d ever met that he was just a tiger. Nothing more, nothing less. He knew what horrible things people did to hybrids and he wouldn’t be put through that if he could avoid it. He was silent except for the occasional growl. That is, until the day he’d been sleeping peacefully in his corner and Jim Moriarty had stepped on his tail. “Fuck!” he growled, bolting upright and glaring at Jim. “That hurt!” His eyes widened and his mouth clamped shut as he realized he’d spoken. (Replies don’t have to be this long!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ever call me a kitty cat again and I won’t hesitate to claw you. SM (tiger hybrid)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I may or may not have clawed the sofa. JM (cat hybrid)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
MPREG IN THIS PROMPT
Sebastian (23) snarled as he was thrown back into his cage. The blonde man had been found out as a tiger hybrid when he was just sixteen years old and dragged into Baskerville for experimentation. He'd lived the rest of his life in a cage as the employees there tried to turn him into the perfect weapon. Once they succeeded in making him furious enough to be a fighting machine and lean and powerful enough to kill anyone and anything on sight, they wanted more of him. They had discovered during a series of experiments that he was capable of bearing children as well, so he was injected with sperm from another hybrid in Baskerville and forced to breed. Now he was seven months pregnant with a litter of hybrid cubs and they were still experimenting on him to try developing the perfect pet and soldier all in one. He hated them all and had attacked his last "trainer". So they were bringing in a new one today and Sebastian already hated him. [Responses don’t have to be this long!]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sebastian (dog hybrid) sat in his cage with a wire door at the pound. He'd been returned more times than he could count. No one wanted the scarred, violent dog. He was brought in originally from the dog fighting ring, but had since been returned for multiple different reasons. Mostly for his violent behaviours. He rarely liked people anyway, so they'd return him. He'd given up hope of being adopted now and sat with his back to the door of his pen. He didn't even notice when someone walked in.

Our New Pet
Description: You've only really heard of these men in whispers. A spider and his tiger, wreaking havoc all over the country. You never expected to actually have any dealings with them. After all, you're ordinary, especially compared to people like that. You've hardly done anything criminal, nothing truly awful anyway. Certainly nothing that should catch their attention. And yet you find yourself face to face with Moran and Moriarty, tied down and woozy from the drugs your kidnappers used. The question is, what do they want with you? And will you make it out alive?
Length: 1/1 chapters; 2,275 words

One of the best writing advice I have gotten in all the months I have been writing is "if you can't go anywhere from a sentence, the problem isn't in you, it's in the last sentence." and I'm mad because it works so well and barely anyone talks about it. If you're stuck at a line, go back. Backspace those last two lines and write it from another angle or take it to some other route. You're stuck because you thought up to that exact sentence and nothing after that. Well, delete that sentence, make your brain think because the dead end is gone. It has worked wonders for me for so long it's unreal

the worst thing that could possibly happen to ao3 is it being put on the app store so please stop asking for it because you don't understand what would happen if that went through. ao3's whole deal is it archives EVERYTHING, while the apple app store's whole deal is keeping everything clean and safe. so if ao3 were to have an app all of the 'bad' stuff, including nsfw in general, would have to be censored at best or would be purged at worse. the google play store is more lax but who fucking knows what GOOGLE would police if they got their hands on the archive. do not ask for an app. do not use third party apps. it's on mobile browser functioning perfectly, just fucking use that before you ruin everything for everyone please.

hello. this is a PSA. ao3 is NOT releasing your browsing history, despite what you may have heard on tiktok.
if you’re signed into ao3, your history is viewable in the dashboard tab. it always has been, nothing is changing. please don’t believe everything you hear on tiktok.
no one is able to view your browsing history unless they are signed into your account.

The Painted Man by jinglebell
It's a locked fic, so only logged in AO3 users can find it. One chapter, Johnlock, and there's smut
@inevitably-johnlocked
I have come to you again for your fic finding wizardry.
A tattooed John finally shows Sherlock his last tattoo, it is UV ink and needs a blue light.
My conundrum is, it may not be a Johnlock, it may be a 00Q with a tattooed Q showing Bond his tats (Sorry)
Hey Lovely!
Ohhhhh. Hmm, a conundrum indeed! I know I have fans of both 'ships, so perhaps it will get found regardless, hahah. I would like to read it myself if it's Johnlock, hahah.
Anyone able to pin this one?

creator signups begin soon!
fanwork creators, it’s almost time! Starting February 6th, you’ll be able to sign up to offer fanworks in the 2023 auction. (see the full auction calendar here.)
We’re supporting some truly amazing nonprofits this year: you can see the full 2023 list here. We’ll be posting more detailed information about each of them in the coming week.
Now is a great time to:
start thinking about what kinds of fanworks you want to offer, and in which fandoms. FTH welcomes written fanworks, vids, various kind of art, and podfics – and we even have an “other” category for the truly uncategorizable digitally-delivered fanwork. (And if you’re interested in tangible fancrafts, you could take part in our semi-official crafts bazaar!)
spread the word to other creators in your fandom. The auction is just more fun if there are lots of people offering fanworks in your fandom! And you are the best person to get more of your fellow-fans involved: read more about that here!
(what is FTH?)

Many readers don’t seem to realise that when they create an AO3 bookmark, their notes on said bookmark are visible to everyone. I keep finding bookmarks for my stories containing massive spoilers, including the big surprise revelations I have tried to build into certain stories. Kinda annoying since I know that readers use bookmarks before reading a fic to see what people have stated as the reasons for it being a recommended piece. I solely blame AO3; I have not seen it made clear anywhere that those notes are publicly visible.

The rest of the thread is here.
tl;dr: Don’t monetize AO3, kids. You won’t like what happens next.

oh god it’s that time of the year again, so here are some quick reminders:
The content allowed on AO3 is legal according to American law. This is a sensible place to draw the line when your explicitly stated aim is to have a fanfiction site where the content is not subjected to random purges for obscure reasons
AO3 is run by a non-profit organisation. Nobody is making any money out of this, and when the donation drive goal is exceeded, excess money will go to running the site in the future and fighting potential legal battles for the right to create fanworks
It’s possible to donate to AO3 and various charities etc, stop acting as though every cent donated to AO3 is a cent taken from “people who need it more”
“Fiction affects reality” yes but the fiction that actually has a societal impact is the latest heteronormative, subtly racist, mass marketed drivel from Disney, not that one properly tagged incest PWP fic with 150 hits and 40 kudos on AO3

This may sound mean, but...
If you send me an ask containing links to Good Omens fan fiction you think I should read, I'll delete it. Do it again and I'll (regretfully) block you. This is a general blanket sort of thing -- I don't want to read it, legally I can't read it, no I won't make it into the next series, and, no matter how pure your motives, it's crossing a line.

To any fic writers who worry they are wasting their time... I read a fic for a relatively small and inactive fandom about three years ago. And there was one specific scene where a character watched another dancing like an idiot to a beyonce song and it was so sweet and loving that even now years later I have that song on one of my spotify playlist so every once in a while it will play and remind me of that fic, and every time it does I smile and feel a little happier.
The stats on a fic will never really tell you if your writing touched someone. There's no numerical way to show you what impact you made. Maybe you are wasting time, or maybe you are writing something that someone will remember for a long time, something that will never fail to make them smile.

I think all content creators can relate to this.
In my opinion, I don’t think followers really understand how much your requests/likes/reblogs/etc. and random asks mean to me. It’s just so refreshing and nice to know that people enjoy what I’m doing and support me.
People that go the extra mile and send an ask or message letting me know they liked my stuff honestly makes my day. I love reading tags and stuff…it’s honestly so cute….
And people who ask about how I’m doing or send me random questions or cute asks….I just want you guys to know it honestly makes my day. I just love all the interaction and such. It makes running a blog so much more enjoyable.
And Fanart/Fanwork? Honestly that’s one of the greatest things to receive. To everyone that draws or writes, please don’t feel too insecure to send it end! No one is going to criticize you over quality. It’s so sweet that you even thought about making something…I will always appreciate it no matter what, and I’m sure all other content creators feel the same.
So, in conclusion, don’t be afraid to talk to your favorite blogs and show them some love, guys! We always appreciate it! ☺️
