i genuinely don't think that the pet shop boys have spent more than a few months apart since they met in 1981 im so serious. like even when neil tennant went to new york in 1983 to start up star hits magazine, chris lowe went with him to record music. and even during quarantine they lived close enough to hang out in each other's gardens. what the hell they're like common law married atp

Were any of the depeche modes gay or were their songs like that for an unrelated reason
#you can be queer and like depeche mode but they're not a queer band and stop giving them notoriety as one#you have REAL queer artists doing ACTUAL queer music and getting not even half of the recognition depeche mode receives#i don't care if it's controversial but y'all need to stop associating bdsm with queerness by default#and especially when the artist gets money out of it#instead of letting whips and chains fry your brain y'all should do some actual research about queer bands in the 80s -#that didn’t reach the mainstream BECAUSE THEY WERE QUEER and were blacklisted as such#anyway that's my rant of the day idc
