That would have been quite interesting.

Can you imagine Fenris meeting Dorian? And Solas? 

What about Anders meeting Cole?

And their dilemma in Here Lies the Abyss?

I have to admit those possibilities fascinate me.

(I also find it hilarious that there are existing fics for both of these guys as Inquisitors)

Once upon a time almost a year ago I started drawing a comic about the adventures of Inquisitor Anders. I had all the plans, let me tell you, but then I lost my motivation and well

I figured I could at least post the two pages I got done, since I just found them again.

I miss having the energy to draw comics.

idk if this blog is active anymore but i just discovered inquisitor anders and among other things it makes the fade decision so much better imo (anything makes the fade decision so much better). but consider: anders having to leave alistair in the fade, knowing the heartbreak it will cause a warden-commander who romanced him. or a hawke who refuses to go back with anders, for any variety of reasons. the possibilities are endless??

But can you imagine Anders having to write a letter to the Warden telling them that Alistair stayed behind in the fade because the warden was/is their friend and he can’t let anyone else write it.

stopping and starting so many times, scratching out line after line because he can barely write through the tears in his eyes because he remembers when he was still with the Wardens how fondly the Commander spoke of Alistair and how in love with him they were are

Anders quietly handing the letter the Leliana who takes it with a look of great sadness because Alistair was her friend to and wishes that there was some way that she could be the one to deliver the letter in person

How the final letter once it reaches the Warden is clearly written by someone who’s hand couldn’t stop shaking so that many words are almost not legible and there are tear stains smudging some of the words as well.

Maybe he also adds that he hopes that one day the Warden will be able to forgive him and writes that if he could have he would have gladly taken Alistair’s place in the fade but that the other warden made the choice for him before he could do anything.

Alternatively Hawke staying in the fade can be just as heart breaking.

Maybe Hawke romanced Anders, maybe they didn’t and romanced one of the other companions

Either way Hawke was a dear friend to Anders for the time they were in Kirkwall and supported him the best that they could with everything that was going on

Maybe Hawke feels partially responsible for the whole Corypheus mess because after all they were the ones to free him even if they did believe that by doing so that would allow them to kill him

Maybe they don’t but feel like they are the best chance at slowing down the Nightmare and giving everyone else enough time to leave the fade.

Hawke telling a romanced Anders that they are sorry for being another person that ends up leaving him and hopes that one day he will be able to forgive them

Or Hawke asking Anders to tell Fenris/Isabela/Merrill, who ever they romanced, that they are sorry and that they won’t be coming back like they promised and hopes that one day they will forgive them for breaking their promise

Hawke also getting Anders to promise that he will write a letter to Carver/Bethany asking for them to forgive them for making them the last Hawke

I saw a lot of Fenris being the Inquisitor and, even though I support the idea, I was thinking about Anders being the one to save everyone from the breach. In my own head, I thought it would be funny. Everyone having to rely on the same person who started all of this for the most part. I don’t know….

And I did it again with Inquisitor Anders because I can. Might write a fic about it idk

Inquisitor anders shapeshifts into a cat to get some free time around skyhold. Sometimes he and morrigan shapeshift and sit on the garden wall occasionally rolling their eyes at a chantry sister or judging some particularly garish orlesian.

I bet whenever Anders is feeling overwhelmed or over stressed in shapeshifts into a cat and just roams the halls and pathways around Skyhold. After all what is one more stray wondering around so it’s not like anyone will be able to tell that it’s him.

The ‘bonding’ with Morrigan starts sometime after she arrives at Skyhold and Anders stumbles across her while she in the form of another unnoticeable creature spying on the various inhabitants of the keep. At first they mostly ignore each other but Anders keeps on coming back to visit her because he knows that she won’t tell anyone where he is hiding because then she would have to tell people what she was doing.

Eventually Anders and Morrigan start to visit while not shapeshifted and while they will never say that they are fond of each other they are glad that there is someone else around who can’t stand the chantry as much as they do. The fact that they both get amusement from mocking the chantry sisters, especially Mother Giselle, helps them form some form of friendship.

Of course if Varric ever found out that Anders was mocking people for their fashion choices, even is they are orlesians, he would probably give him a look that said ‘really Anders you are making fun of people for their clothing Mister i wore giant feathered pauldron mage robes for years’

i actually kind of like the idea of these two having some sort of friendship and the fact that it would cause people to worry about what the two of them were up two would make them go out of their way every once and awhile to at least be seen together just to cause people to worry over nothing (not that those people know that they have nothing to worry about).

How's this for a prompt. Surprise, Anders is the inquisitor. He would definitely be the type of person to sneak into the conclave. Being a grey warden he would sense that corphyface was there once he arrived and investigate.

As days went, he’d had better.

Then again, he’d certainly had worse too.

He stumbled after Cassandra up the steps, thankful he’d convinced her that letting him have a staff wasn’t such a bad idea, wondering how he kept ending up in these messes.

He gripped the wood tightly. He missed Freedoms Call.

They’d fought their way past the demons up to this breach Cassandra had told him about, and now there were finally people ahead. An elf, who immediately grabbed his hand to close the rift in front of them with the strange mark that was still tingling up his arm, and…oh

“Blondie. Long time, no see.”

“Hello Varric.” Anders looked everywhere he could but at the dwarf. This was not how he’d hoped for a reunion.

He’d never really imagined there being one.

“You know each other?” Cassandra asked incredulously, and Varric was speaking before Anders could stop him.

“Come now, Seeker. Surely you’ve heard of Anders?”

The glare Cassandra turned on him could have cut steel.

“You did not tell me your name was Anders.” She said coldly

“Surprise?” Anders said sheepishly, taking a step back. Varric smirked behind Cassandra and Anders sighed. He supposed he deserved that.

He looked at the mark on his hand, to the glowering group in front of him, then to the looming Breach in the sky.

It still wasn’t his worst day ever.

But it was definitely in the running.

The bags under the Inquisitor’s eyes seemed lighter these days, at least to Dorian. Anders had never lacked purpose, he’d made that clear, but it seemed as though the power to change things–not just to struggle but to choose–had brought some color back into his cheeks and made it easier for him to rest at night.

It warmed Dorian.

“You know, one might argue that you’re actually relaxing right now,” he said, eyeing the Inquisitor sitting in his armchair, hunched over a thick tome on medical salves. He hadn’t exactly carved his name into the bookshelves in the reading nook, but it was common knowledge that it was Dorian’s Space and there was something about seeing another person there that made him feel as though he should offer tea.

“Me, relax? Maker, that’ll be the day,” Anders laughed, eyes down, intently fixed on the text. “Losing too many soldiers on the road lately. I’m looking to find a way for them to stop bleeding out before they can get proper treatment. I hope you don’t mind; I’m looking through your book on coagulants.”

“No, no, by all means. Though you know, none of these are technically mine.” He leaned against the shelf nearest, watching the sunlight play on a loose segment of dark blonde hair. He wanted to reach out and tuck it back.

Dorian crossed his arms.

“They belong to you as much as to anyone else,” he replied, “so I’m not exactly wrong, Dorian.” His name coming from the Inquisitor’s lips was rather wonderful.

“Then they’re yours as well, and thus we return to square one. Lovely dancing with you, Inquisitor, do let me know if you’d like to go another round.”

He laughed, short and jovial, eyes crinkling. “Fair point. I’ll dance with you any time, Ser Pavus,” Anders raised his eyes finally, oaky and warm against lightly bruised lids, and smiled.

Can you imagine Anders and Dorian becoming fast friends and staying up late at night discussing various magical theories. Maybe the two of them even being able to teach the other different bits of magic. Maybe Anders even teaches Dorian a bit of healing magic so that he doesn’t have to be the only mage out in the field that heals everyone.

omg, as soon as he got a chance Anders would be a total nerd about the magic/theory behind it. I'm also imagining a "omg another me" reaction, haha. Meanwhile Leliana and Cass just think they're identical twins probably.

Yeah i’m totally going with the idea that they look identical except for Justice having blue eyes. And yes to Anders being a total magic nerd because he never thought that the two of them could ever be separated without one or both of them being harmed and the fact that the both of them are okay (well mostly okay) is pretty amazing. OMG Cassandra and Leliana would totally be so confused because here they are thinking the two are twins but then one of the prisoners starts going on about how he can’t believe the other one looks like him but at the same time it’s not that surprising considering how long they were together. And i can see Justice kinda babbling back because this is all new for them as well and the theory behind how they got separated would be very interesting

oh god, both of them would definitely immediately worry and think 'what did i do', thinking they hurt the other, until they were both conscious and realized what happened.

i just had a thought and am now really amused by it. So after Anders is done worrying and freaking out and realizes that Justice is okay and in a body of his own next to him he just starts babbling completely ignoring Cassandra and Leliana because Justice is okay and separated from him and the magic behind how it happened must be complicated and so interesting and he needs to know now how it happened. It would probably take Cassandra almost attacking him to get him to focus back on the current situation.

ahhh imagine how surreal the sudden silence would be, each of them suddenly being alone in their own minds for the first time in years--i can see them each waking up in a panic at that, wondering where the other went. omg.

There is no doubt that Anders would be freaking out because Justice has never been quiet. And poor Justice, suddenly they have their own body but it looks and feels like Anders’ and he can’t feel Anders presence so of course their first thought is that they may have done something to ‘kill’ Anders. 

And there i go and stab myself in the heart cause wow even thinking about the pain Justice would feel if they thought they had done something that resulted in the death of Anders is painful to think about.

But just imagine the relief they would both feel once they realize that they are both alive. Like i can imagine Anders would probably have tears in his eyes knowing that his friend is alive and not dead because of something he may have done.
