This fucking episode, my gods...I think this may finally get them to truly start getting along again. Where do I even start, this was such a good episode:

-Ava running to Deb the second she saw something was wrong, and trying to give her tips to feel better, because she fucking cares

-Deb seeing someone she looked up to, and having a beautiful conversation with them, I love that for her

-"Pick one person and do the show just for them" that is good advice honestly

-I KNEW IT WOULD BE AVA SHE WOULD CHOSE BUT I STILL SCREAMED AND CRIED, ARE YOU KIDDING ME

-The giggle, in the see of hundreds of voices she fucking heard Ava's giggle, OR, IF SHE DIDN'T HEAR, SHE KNOWS THE SOUND SO WELL SHE WAS ABLE TO HEAR IT IN HER MIND JUST FROM LOOKING AT AVA AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S BETTER

-That look on Deb's face when she was delivering that joke to Ava and Ava only, and then seeing her reaction and being so happy about it, that fucking smile, and then she fucking giggled herself I CAN'T WITH THEM

-Ava wanted to wait to see if Deb would wanna talk because she knew how big of a moment for her it truly was

-am I the only person who wants nothing to do with that couple, immediately no, the second they offered her a ride my stomach dropped, i hate it, throw it in the garbage, no, the only thropules Ava should be in is the ones with Deb. Like the extent to which we know Ava and Deb's relationship makes any attempts at romance for both of them with anyone else but each other feel empty and shallow, and just leaves a bad taste in my mouth

-Once again, something's wrong with Deb? Ava's RUNNING

-So Ava has Deb's location, and Deb made Ava her emergency contact?!? That's fine, cool, cool, totally not a big deal at all

-Omg the way Deb was looking at Ava, watching her reaction to the show kjsbsudjsksh and they congratulated EACH OTHER ON IT?!?! IT'S THEIR SHOW, CONFIRMED

-The way they didn't intend on watching the show together, but ended up doing so anyways, because they were always supposed to?!?!

-I was so hoping they would hold hands, it felt like they really were supposed to

-THEY MADE EACH OTHER LAUGH AGAIN, I REPEAT, DEB MADE A JOKE SPECIFICALLY TO AVA AND SHE LAUGHED, AND IT MADE DEB SO HAPPY I'M NOT FUCKING OKAY

-THE SONG AT THE END?!?! THE LYRICS?!? HELLO?!?!?!

Less than 24-hours until the Hacks Season 4 premiere at PaleyFest. My predictions for this next season (no spoilers except for what is shown in the trailer):

In this showdown between Deb and Ava, Ava will win. I take that from Jimmy telling Ava that she can't win against Deb when Deb has been doing this for 40 years. What that win looks like, I'm not sure, but it will put their relationship in a better place. I think that Deb will end up looking like an asshole with her tricks to get back at Ava. Since Deb's relationship to Frank and her relationship to Ava parallel in a lot of ways, I think what is going to bug Deb is that when she was accused of being crazy by setting the house on fire, it wasn't true, but here she will be acting crazy to get back at Ava, and it will be true. Deb may end up being the butt of the joke again that she said she was so tired of being in Season 1.

Ava will say something to Deb about how they are a lot alike, but that Deb is still doing things out of hurt where Ava is doing it out of love. I think we will see Ava being the one who has continued to grow and Deb still stuck in her past, especially with this show being such a big part of her past. Whether it is this season or next, I think we will finally see Deb let go of the past.

Whatever confrontation Deb and Ava finally have, I think Deb will cry to parallel the end of Season 3 where she was holding it back. At some point, the dam has to break.

Deb will give up something for Ava to also parallel Season 3 ending where Ava says Deb would never do that for her.

Ultimately, I think Deb's dream of late night is going to end up not being her dream any more. She likes to work on jokes and refine them, but she can't do that when she has to do a different show every night. Also, late night isn't what it once was. It doesn't have the prestige it once did when Johnny Carson, or even Jay Leno, were on the air. Deb will develop a new dream with Ava. (I like the idea I saw someone had of them developing a series together.)

Can't wait for tomorrow! No spoilers, though.

Apparently Ava's getting more 'action' this year. I don't want it unless it's with an older woman and it makes Deborah insanely jealous.
