    hands were stuffed into his pockets as he     takes a seat on the bed. no mind is paid     to the camera pointed to them, instead he     removes a hand from the pocket to extend     it toward the blonde.

         standing with arms wrapped around          herself and eyes shooting across a          room that was far too big as her foot          tapped against the floor, beth caught          herself eyeing the exit for about the          fifth time. she promised, she knew          that, unable to deny help when her          roommate all but begged for beth to          be there, but still, theory and practice          seemed to differ mainly in how tight          her stomach felt to the point where          letting someone down was almost          becoming a non-issue.

         her escape plans seemed to be          thrown out of the window when          someone walked through the door,          however, and suddenly beth felt          very naked even though she was          still wearing too many layers given          their task, focusing only on wiping          her palm against the inner pocket          of her jacket and trying not to get          too light headed, extending her hand          to greet him as her lips stretched          into a grin out of nothing but nerves.
