sav’s eyes widened as soon as he realised who he’d spoken to, “ no, shit, sorry um, please sit, i didn’t mean it. ” he slid over on the bench and gestured for her to settle in next to him. if she wanted to sit with him through the whole ceremony he wouldn’t complain for a single second through the ribbing his siblings would inevitably give him for weeks to come, but he knew she wouldn’t stay. he leaned in a little, his voice matching hers in level, “ not even a little bit, i kind of wish i had just flown straight to scotland for the party. but my brother is friends with the bride so you know, i’m obligated or something. ” 

“Ah, it’s alright if you’re waiting for family. I think Anneli has some good spot... on the other side of the aisle, I think we’re sitting on Theo’s side.” She pointed behind her with her thumb. She hesitated for a moment, her courage slipping away from at a fast speed. “Or, uhm... the photos have been taken, we could try sneaking off? Have you walked around Stockholm before? The old town’s super pretty, especially now that there’s snow.”

Inari snapped her head up from her phone when she realized someone was mere steps away from her. A vacant expression was on her face until she linked the face with a name. Her lips formed an O. “What? No, no, how can you say that when you looked so pretty! If I had known how popular blue got all of sudden, I would have just recycled one of my yellow dresses.”

Louise noticed the Finnish princess as she was headed for some fresh air. She made her way to the younger woman who wore the same gown Louise had picked for the church ceremony. Her stylist had texted her at least five times apologising for that unfortunate outfit repetition which really was low on the Belgian’s list of concerns. ❝ You know I think YOU wore it better. ❞ Louise mused, making a reference to the fashion articles that were already pilling up.  ( @invri​ )

There’s a good reason I haven’t been to church in three years.” She spoke in a slightly hushed tone to make sure no one around them heard her.

They are just locked in a vault, gathering dust... it’s not like we could do anything with them.” The odd political situation in Helsinki had complicated even the simplest things for their family. “If you asked really nicely.”

Inari pulled out her earphones and blinked at the girl. It took her a moment to really comprehend what was being requested of her. “Oh!” She scrambled to move her plates and cup to clear out some space for the girl’s things. “Of course, of course, sit, sit, please.” Inari even moved her bag even though there were two empty seats for the girl to pick. “Oh God, no, heels are a bad idea. Always. I never wear them, my feet thank me and I can survive through parties without a problem. I recommend buying lots and lots of cute flats. You’re new here? Since you were exploring?”

i promised bee to bring her back but then took like a month to do so and today e bullied me and i figured i’d finally do it !!! the baby is back !!!

TIMELINE

so she’s the little sister of anneli & aarne

she’s quite carefree, often forgets to think about the bigger picture. does things on a whim. it’s not malicious selfishness but, like... dumb selfishness but she’s pretty down to earth !  the finnish royal fam is all about humility and being close to their subjects so she wants to seem approachable too. she’ll say it like it is and most of the time the other royals’ entitlement perplexes / disgusts her. 

she is not cut for politics and only does the little she has to. it’s not that she doesn’t care?? she just can’t understand the cause and effect side of politics. but since she has aged a bit, seen a lot of shit, suffered greatly because of failed politics, she has a lot to say. 

one thing that should be made clear from the start: she was not on board with the whole karelia thing, in her humble opinion it was too messy, the basis of it is outdated and honestly too many of her friends ( those smarty pants, low key nonathletic friends ) had to go fight in a war that just…wasn’t worth it.

but this bitch kept her mouth shut bc anneli would disown her lmao and she avoids conflicts.

and history’s not her thing, she’s into physics. let’s just say she likes problem solving. and when i say into, i mean she fkn loves physics.

like her siblings she went to a public high school ( though not the same cause she didn’t want to be overshadowed lol ).  the twins went to one prestigious upper secondary school and inari to another. there are no private schools in finland so the whole “people’s princess” thing was almost too easy to accomplish !

she has the last quarter of her bachelour’s degree left to do. she’s determined not to let the current political climate ruin her five-year plan.

she really loved uni life. it made her feel very normal and she loved how her days were filled with activities. she had no time to think about the political situation because there was a soiree or a party or an exam coming up and she had to prepare for it.

as university students do... most of the people around inari did get very political after the annexation ( and tbf before that but before that the criticism was directed at the royal family, which made things #awkward on a daily basis )

has a soft heart but she’s kinda hesitant to make new friends tbh?? she has her really close friends whom she  trusts and that’s about it. she never liked having a huge entourage

don’t get me wrong she likes befriending people, just, there’s a limit to everything

but she has a green thumb?? and likes nature a lot

forests are her thing and actually enjoys picking berries

last but not least i solemnly swear inari has never and never will get involved with a russian
