One of the things that dawned on me is that we can sometimes allow one moment of anger place us under condemnation; however in 1 John 3:20 we forget about the latter part of the verse, “God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” If God knows everything, then he knows that we were going to face that momentary aspect of darkness because it has to be brought to the light in order for it to be dealt with. If you don't put the darkness into the contrast of the white [black against white], then how would you know that you are in darkness? 2015 October 5 // There is more to life than the obvious, yet we are so confined by the things that are familiar. We tend to retaliate the very desires that God places in our hearts because we are afraid of getting hurt again. At times we refuse to open our eyes to the endless possibilities that our Heavenly Father sets before us. He made us unique and set apart for a purpose. This photograph of the city of #LosAngeles was taken with the canon 70D camera and it also dawned on me that I finally was able to visit the west coast Mecca urban city. In retrospect, it showed me also how vast, how wide and how endless the mission field is. Traveling the world you end up realizing the need is greater than anything that you are worried or anxious about. 2015 September 22 // Blown away beyond words to have finally stepped foot in this place. After reading Ft. Gregory Boyle’s book #tattoosontheheart, this place is everything and more of what I thought it would be. I am glad I got the opportunity to have lunch with Kendra and Fredi, who both have an incredible testimony. God has rescued so many lives through Homeboy Industries, and I am above and beyond encouraged even more so now for my thesis. #FBOs do impact youth; community development; economic development and so forth. 💛☺️ (at Homeboy Industries)

2015 September 17 // Day 6 | Summary Highlight of #missions trip #Swaziland | We had walked in this short half a mile of shops that sold gifts, and I had come across the woman on the far left Tambi, who is a believer. She winds up telling me that we were her first purchasers for the entire week since the location of her shop is too far for customers to come by. I asked if I could pray for her, which then turned into some how praying for the two other women in the photo. #Prayer doesn't cost a dime. Yet we fail to realize the power of prayer and its ability to shift the atmosphere at any given time, at any given moment anywhere you are in the world. Heaven and earth may pass away but the word of God never does. [Recorded in Matthew, Mark & Luke] That is why it is our weapon; our sword in this battle. The word of God is the source to our prayers. I prayed for the Lord to continue to watch them and guard them as they can continue to evangelize and that the sisterhood would be strengthened and United. God is too good, too loving, too forgiving, too compassionate, too merciful and for any one person to continue to choose the life of bitterness -- well, that is just foolish. (at Swaziland, Africa)

2015 September 15 // Day 4 #CTSwaziland | Today, apart from working on the site and cleaning up the garden, playing with the kids, and so forth, we were able to visit a home of someone from the community. Her name is Tabitha, she is a grandmother of 8, I believe. Her daughter is in the hospital. Tabitha’s leg was also amputated due to diabetes. She asked us to pray for her to be able to receive a prosthetic leg, so that she would be able to take care of her grandchildren. She thanks God regardless for everything she does have despite the obstacles she faces. #HeartofGratitude #Blessed #missions #swaziland (at Ezulwini(Boma))

After a lot of crying, I managed to have him fall asleep in my arms and he woke up looking a lot more refreshed.
