Fun thing about adapting the novelization of The Prom is that Emma and Alyssa KISS a lot more compared to the production/movie, so I really need to make to get it right!

Of course I can't just show it right?

LOL Ruler of the Prom fandom. I absolutely appericate that, but I'm just a regular artist who is just a bit not normal for the gay Broadway show

Also the ship is very valid, honestly I personally had Shelby and Kevin together only because Kevin's lyrics in "You Happened" makes it seem like theyre super into each other. But Shelby defs gives the "absolutely questioned herself once Alyssa was out" (also in the book, spoilers, Alyssa does give her a thank you kiss on the cheek! ;) )

Kaylee though, her and Nick are cute but they're absolutely only together because of social norms (Leader Football player and head cheerleader like come on!) so Kaylee being super conflicted with herself also adds onto why she seems a bit harder on Emma than Shelby is.

Although both of them gives the big vibes of "One time at the Prom for everyone, totally to make sure we aren't gay for sure"

Hello, my name is Steven (@nuttyinks) and I'm the illustrator and main (and only) designer for "The Prom unofficial graphic novel adaptation"!

This show has meant the world to me ever since I saw a performance a year ago, and after it send me into a crazy repressed theater kid spiral and causing me to purchase the novelization and read that as well I created a plan!

I wanted to adapt the novelization of the show into a graphic novel!

Now this is an unofficial adaptation, so that means that I am in no way affiliated with the original production or the team behind it and in no way will I be selling this, it's completely a free and a for fun project that I look forward to continue sharing with the rest of you.

I guess it's time to build a Prom.
