I can't give an exact number, but a little good amount of survivors have lost their marbles one way or another.

That's part of the reason you'd be thought to always be cautious when you go out on explorations. You should treat every stranger with caution, cause you never know what screws they may have loose.

I just thought of basically an extension to my previous question (I was asking about alexis and her humanity) the eldritch route for gm, will that lock us out of romancing anyone other than alexis?

Not really. You'd still be able to romance other RO, but the number of ROs you can romance would go down.

a bit of a weird one but it got me thinking, alexis is a love interest but because of her powers she's basically emotionless, does that mean that she may either lose her power or regain her humanity + could gm mc also just give her back her humanity someway?? but then wouldn't her powers just eventually make her apathetic to existence again.

I've thought about this ask for some time now, but I find it hard answering your question without giving spoilers, especially for people planning on going down the Alexis romance route. But one thing I can say is that it's possible for Alexis' mental state to see some progress from your MC's intervention depending on your choices down the road when you interact with her. Also, I wanted to give a little hint that certain things you do even when Alexis isn't around can increase or reduce her impression of you, because regardless of her presence, her powers make it so she constantly knows every action you take, whether she likes it or not.

Please, you shouldn't apologize for asking many questions. I always love reading and answering the questions I get from you guys.

How surprised are you that the community despises Joy?

😂As crazy as this might sound. I was beyond surprised by the massive wave of hatred for Joy. I mean, after really looking at the entire picture I could completely understand why everyone hates her, but while writing her I just wrote things according to her character, and if anything I actually thought people might love her for being a leader with optimistic goals for humanity in this crazy world. However, I realized how dead wrong I was after I released the update.

Still I do understand why everyone hates Joy. I started hating her myself too after I really stopped to think about the angle of how she sold the MC's sister off to Adam.

Is the xp/stat system just a gameplay feature or is it a power that mc/everyone has?

Olivia (?? I think) said that we lost a point of core stability after eating the brownies, so that made me start to think everyone has the xp/stat system.

At first i thought it was a limit breaker that mc had but is presented the way it is (gain xp spend it in level up menu) for gameplay reasons, but now I'm not too sure.

Yeah, Olivia mentions your drop in core stability, cause core stability is actually a unit of measurement she came up with to measure how in sync a person's body is with their mutated abilities.

Also, besides core stability, the other stats technically also apply to others. Some survivors have specific core abilities, but have bodies that have mutated in time to develop an almost secondary ability with things like enhanced physical or mental strength that has nothing to do with there powers.

The God class have much higher chances than the rest to develop secondary mutations. You aren't wrong with your first thought... It's technically a limit breaker I decided to present in the form of gaining XP and levelling up, but it's not entirely limited to the MC.

Was Raj actually going to kill us? Is that the last we have seen of him?

Yeah, Raj was on the run for so long, and he suddenly ran into you together with Darren right before he could get to Dexter and Joana's group. He was exhausted, and assumed you might hinder him from getting back. He really was going to kill you.

Will all powers be updated in the next update?

Yeah, that's the plan, but if I feel like certain plans on a route or two would hold the update back any further then I'd push the update for all the other available power routes first. Then I'd release what's left after.

For time when you erase Murphy it sets your energy to 10%

Then when you fall asleep and have the pyron dream then the ari dream later neither regen energy

So then when you fight Wolfgang it's impossible to use miasma because you're still stuck at 10%

Thanks, this isn't meant to be so. There's supposed to be an energy and stamina increase every time you sleep. I've fixed it for the update.

As scary as this is, the answer is yes. Microorganisms also mutated like all other living beings on the planet.

Will we be able to interact with Animal factions in the game considering that You mentioned that Some beasts groups recognized Aurora's territory?

Oh that's a huge yes. In fact, it's entirely unavoidable, cause a very huge event would take place quite some time after you've finally settled down in this new world.

I won't go into details but I'll give you a hint. Imagine you're a part of the animal faction. Before the disaster you and every other animal you know, both family and other species were only allowed to live in the shadow of humans and their huge machinery.

But now, your kind outnumber these humans on Earth about a billion to one. To top things off you also have evolved intellect, and special abilities. Your God class alone outnumber that of the humans at least 5 to 1.

With how things currently are you feel like the universe is administering justice. You're finally the ones with power, and it's finally time for those humans to be the ones living in the shadow of your empires. But for some reason things aren't going the way they're supposed to be, and those arrogant humans are still moving around like they're the ones who own this planet.

I just feel like some people mostly follow this blog to get notified early on when the demo gets an update... so making posts when I haven't delivered on an update yet just feels kinda off.

If someone doesn't like you talking about your IF on the blog you made for your IF then that's on them.

How would a conversation between Alexis and the verison of her before her powers go?

Honestly, this is a crazy good question that got me thinking for a while.

My opinion is that even if Alexis wanted to have a conversation with a younger version of herself before she turned into what she currently is, just one look at her younger self being happy, confused, sad, or expressing any emotions would be enough to kill the thought.

Although Alexis has become entirely numb and apathetic to life and existence now, she still likes having these small pocket moments where she watches her younger self go through life experiencing all sorts of emotions, and she would feel like she'd be denting that perfect image of a young Alexis full of flaws if she ever intervened or interacted with her younger self.

But if there was ever a situation of sort where Alexis absolutely HAD to interfere and have a short conversation with her younger self. She'd give a fake smile and try her best to keep the conversation short. She could encourage her younger self to keep up in her piano and school work, she'd also tell some white lies about their future to give her younger self a sense of ease. But one thing she'll never do is allow her younger self know the bleak future coming for the world and her inevitable cursed fate.

If I ever wrote this scene it'll be something like:

Young Alexis: "Do we still play piano when we're older?"

Older Alexis (smiling, softly): "Yeah... every day. You never stop playing."

Young Alexis: "And... do we ever win that composition award?"

Older Alexis: "Not that one. But something better. You'll see."

....

Sorry for not posting or being active here in a while. I actually do keep this blog in mind, and have Asks I want to answer a lot of times, but I prefer doing that when I've already dropped an update in recent memory. I just feel like some people mostly follow this blog to get notified early on when the demo gets an update... so making posts when I haven't delivered on an update yet just feels kinda off.

As for the update, I've already given details of the progress in my update announcement on Patreon, and given a little snippet for tests and feedback on the new exploration system, and other systems in place. Hopefully, I can finally release everything I've been working on by the firs week of next month at most.

How many characters are from the fan discord?

Quite a few characters have been taken from the character creator in Discord, and others so far:

Edith and Scott (Their creators requested for them to be a couple, and I saw a real match their so I wrote up a story link between them), Logan, Samuel Thornhill, Elaine Huvier, and Aurora's right hand man; Thomas (Plus his brother, Victor, who's currently in MCs group, but I haven't given him content yet).

With necromancy, we know that our undead can be permanently destroyed if sustained enough damage. So, is there a way for the MC to spend energy to keep their essence or physical form intact?

This is possible, but with low core stability at the moment that'll be pretty draining to maintain on large number of summons and special summons. So you should still be really careful on trying that when you get the option until you have at least 5 core stability.
