Friendly reminder that the original Dragon Ball is great on its own merits. It's not a prequel to DBZ (which I personally think is overall inferior to OGDB) and should never be treated as such.

If a character is great in even just one or two arcs in OGDB, they are a great Dragon Ball character, period. Them not being well-utilized in later arcs doesn't change that in the slightest.
