Carbon footprints of printed study materials are enormous, according to studies. About 350 million toner cartridges are disposed of in landfills each year, with a decomposition time of over a thousand years. That’s just one example out of many. Introducing our Co-founder and CTO, Rachiket Arya. Rachiket studied Mechanical Engineering along with Innovation & Entrepreneurship, co-founding a deep-tech start-up with his batch mates. In secondary school, he studied in classes of 1 teacher to 75 students in Jodhpur, India. Later, he got a six-year scholarship to study in Singapore where that ratio was 1:20. The stark difference in his experience made Rachiket realise the importance of personalised education, and that this was only accessible to better resourced and smaller class sizes. With a vision to democratise education, he leveraged his technology and entrepreneurship background to co-found Jackett.

Learning loss is a global challenge that will need to be addressed, some are calling this “Education’s New Era”. How can we support the education ecosystem to address learning loss constructively? Introducing Charlotte, our Co-founder & CEO. Growing up on Phuket island in Thailand, she was homeschooled from a young age and experienced different education systems. After graduating law and working in intellectual property she realized that she wanted to be on the side of innovation and build technology that could truly improve the World. During her career in technology she often challenged how most education systems are predominantly one size fits all, and started a side project to help teachers, which would later become Jackett.
