Bit of a vent, nothing violent, scroll if you’d like!

I’m just so so jealous of my friends. My best friend is always desired, and has always had her pick of men who adore her. Her current boyfriend is so good and treats her so well. My other best friend is just now finding a boyfriend as well, and he is so happy about it. And I’m happy for them!

It just gets so suffocatingly lonely having never had a relationship. I’m the only one who has never had a date to a dance, never had a high school crush, never had anyone interested in her. And I know I won’t get that experience. Prom is coming up, and I know as it slips by, so will my dreams of ever getting a promposal, or dancing with someone I love romantically at a dance.

And I know that I’m not platonically alone, and that I will never be platonically alone. But I can’t say the same for romantically. I’ve never been shown that I can be loved, so how can I believe that I will in the future?

And people always say it’s good that I haven’t dated anyone, it means I’ve had more time to get to know myself as myself, by myself. But it’s not true, because I haven’t seen what I would be like in a relationship. I don’t know myself fully, and it feels like a piece of me is missing.

It feels like I have all of this love welling up inside of me with no where to go. All I want is to treat a girl with love. I want to buy her things, make her things, use all of these words I never get to use, do all the things I’ve never gotten to do. I just want to be able to reconnect with the loving side of myself that I haven’t seen in so long.

So I am jealous. So incredibly jealous of every look of love and longing, every remark and joke. Every single time “boyfriend” is uttered, it’s like a knife to my jugular daring me to move.

I want to love and show love. Is that so much to ask, universe?

shoot I accidentally deleted a message I got about how much water ai takes to cool down, and I just want to say that I haven’t used ai since I found this out (it’s been quite a few months.) I wasn’t aware of this until then, and immediately after I stopped! I was just sharing a story from when I did! I have wayyyy more thoughts (negative ones) abt ai that I wish I could share, but I currently can only use one hand so maybe in a few hours.
