The bottom line is that plastic is made from toxic materials. It’s a known fact that these toxins can leach into whatever they come into contact with. And it’s a known fact that when the compounds that make up plastic are ingested, they damage your body on a cellular level and cause health problems. For millions of years before the invention of running shoes, humans were running completely differently. In fact the traditional running shoe has turned us into heel striking individuals (landing on the heel and transitioning onto the toe). The problem with this is that we receive more impact though our bodies, which has related to more injuries such as ankle, knee and hip problems. Men and women store metabolised fat differently, women carry more fat that men and are better at storing fat than men. Women usually store fat in different places such as hips, butt and legs whereas men gain weight usually to the upper body. Also men are more likely to develop visceral fat which is associated with metabolic syndrome. From 1995 to 2005, the death rate from high blood pressure increased 25.2 percent, and the actual number of deaths rose 56.4 percent. Considering this fact, it is important that both men and women monitor their blood pressure regularly. Blood pressure is represented as a pair of numbers. This first is the systolic pressure, which is the pressure exerted by the blood when the heart beats, forcing blood into the blood vessels. The second reading is the diastolic pressure, which is recorded when the heart is at rest between beats, when the blood pressure is at its lowest. Both figures represent the height (in millimetres, or mm) that a column of mercury (Hg) reaches under pressure exerted by the blood. The combined blood pressure reading is then expressed as a ratio of systolic blood pressure to diastolic blood pressure, such as 120/80. Figures above these two numbers is considered elevated blood pressure. Full range squat should be the go to movement in any resistance training program as they produce superior results and heres why; You will train maximal amount of musculature with full range of motion as when you squat heavy you will maximally train your posterior chain. You can increase speed and vertical jump height. You will perform more work doing full range squats, therefore achieving a better body composition and fat loss. Full range squats support flexibility and keep you structurally balanced. The two most famous workouts around the world are German Volume Training (GVT) and the German Body Comp (GBC) program – GVT is associated with increasing muscle mass and GBC with fat loss. As a result, most women trainees tend to focus on the GBC training. However, even if the primary goal is fat loss, women should consider doing some German Volume Training. The German Body Comp program is characterized by short rest intervals and multi-joint movements to generate maximum growth-hormone production. Higher growth hormone levels increase fat loss. And although the short rest intervals are not the optimal way to increase muscle mass, the increased mass does have some effect. This is important, because the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. For people following calorie-controlled diets, black coffee or coffee with milk and no sugar contains virtually no calories at all, so can be an important source of fluid that will not affect weight gain. Moderate coffee consumption, of four to five cups per day, can contribute to a healthy, balanced diet for the general population, and may confer health benefits. In a recent study lorry drivers who do long haul shipping cut their risks of accidents through drinking coffee and other stimulants. When drinking coffee and other caffeinated drinks, we do get the benefits of improved concentration and enhanced memory and an extra bit of energy. You will also get a high level of antioxidants that have flavonoids, but a diet rich in fruit and vegetables can offer the same effect with none of the negatives. Sugar-filled soft drinks will see a tax hike in April 2018 in an attempt to combat rising levels of obesity. Tax on drinks with more than five grams of sugar per 100ml will be levied by 18p per litre, while those with eight grams or more of sugar per 100ml will have an extra tax of 24p per litre. However, he added that revenues could be lower than expected as companies reduce the amount of sugar in their products to avoid the tax. This could bring significant health benefits, cutting rates of tooth decay, obesity and type 2 diabetes, although soft drinks manufacturers say there is no evidence this will be the case. Your scale cannot be trusted, I see nothing worse than people measuring their weight everyday to judge their progress of their diet and exercise program. Measuring your weight alone tells you nothing about the weight you are losing. You don’t know if you are losing fat, water or even muscle. Think about it losing 5 pounds of fat or gaining is impossible over a weekend but many are convinced. This is one of the biggst reasons why we have yo-yo dieting in the UK. So the biggest challenge is to shift away from how much you weigh, because if you are losing weight and shedding muscle instead of fat which most dieters are your metabolism is going to be in deep trouble in the long run. Key thing to remember is you can gain muscle (weight) and actually decrease size and be leaner. Continue reading at http://jamesmorrispt.co.uk/blog/dont-trust-your-scale/. Creatine supplements are used by athletes, bodybuilders, wrestlers, sprinters, and others who wish to gain muscle mass. Creatine is a naturally occurring substance involved in energy production. You mainly consume it from red meat such as beef and lamb, which contains the highest levels of creatine. The rest of our creatine is made internally from 3 amino acids. In small dosages various stressors and toxins stress our systems and force us to adapt to the imposed stress which is generally termed as ‘Hormesis’. All Organisms like to maintain homeostasis, stability and balance and hormesis is ultimately about the push to maintain homeostasis in the changing environment. For example is the environment changes in a weight lifting session, the body must become stronger, healthier, better in order to maintain homeostasis and handle the situation next time it occurs. So there results of that stressor is you super compensate, get stronger faster, healthier and more resistant to disease than you were before. Exercise – When your lift heavy for an hour, using function movements with good form and high intensity. Your bodies inflammation will increase, oxidative stress will increase, cortisol will be high and your muscles will be suffering with extensive micro trauma. But if you ate, slept and drank well, you will get stronger, faster and fitter as a buffer against future stressors (weight training sessions of the same intensity) Continue reading at http://jamesmorrispt.co.uk/blog/lifestyle-some-stress-can-be-good-for-you/ or link in bio #stress #fitness #onlinepersonaltraining #onlinepersonaltrainer #personaltraining #personaltrainer #uk #chertsey #surrey #health (at Chertsey)
