the year is 2024, and danger has been lurking for decades now. he-who-must-not-be-named has been forming an army, and they only grow stronger by the day. to some, at first, it was just a threat — but after numerous attacks and five already dead, the ministry of magic had no choice but to declare the wizarding world is at war last September. with dark comes light, and the wizarding world believed there was hope when dumbledore formed the order of the phoenix, a group of the world’s strongest soldiers ready to fight back against the so-called death eaters. and for a while, it was enough. for a while, there were attacks, but there were those ready to defend. until july 31st, when the minister of magic was found murdered in his home with a knife to the heart. and all hell broke loose. the public blamed the order, believing the death eaters would never stoop to muggle means to finish their business. they believed the order wanted dumbledore in power, that the order was just another power-hungry group to cower under. and their fears were confirmed when a statement was published to the daily prophet three weeks later, claiming the order had indeed killed the minister, and they would do whatever it took to take down voldemort. but dumbledore knew the truth — this had never been the case. instead, it was elias pickering, claiming the murder to show that he was a force to be reckoned with, someone the death eaters should fear. elias’ actions tore the order right down the middle, until a new faction formed, the insurgents — a radical group ready to meet the death eaters at their level and fight fire with fire.
