Redline
Redline is a anime film produced by madhouse that is a Japanese company “Madhouse Inc. “Japanese: 株式会社マッドハウス Hepburn: Kabushiki-gaisha Maddohausu, stylized as MADHOUSE) is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1972 by ex–Mushi Pro animators, including Masao Maruyama, Osamu Dezaki, Rintaro and Yoshiaki Kawajiri.”
In the creation of this movie they had a employee count of 70 that would work on the movie at the same time Its development took seven years and used 100,000 hand-made drawings, which Maughan notes is all the more unusual as it is Koike's directorial debut.
This is another racing anime but this is less traditional compares to initial D, this is good as they have more interesting characters that will make my character design more interesting and unique.

punks

Punk rock (or simply punk) is a music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Rooted in 1960s garage rock, punk bands rejected the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock. They typically produced short, fast-paced songs with hard-edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti-establishmentlyrics. Punk embraces a DIY ethic; many bands self-produce recordings and distribute them through independent record labels.
The music has span a type of fashion that is rebellious in nature and has lots of things that represent that like spikes, piercing and leather clothing. A lot of them have crazy hair ranging from messy and spiky hair to shaved and mohicans to show there rebellious attitude.

Rally Racing
The World Rally Championship (WRC) is a rallying series organised by the FIA, culminating with a champion driver, co-driver and manufacturer. The driver's world championship and manufacturer's world championship are separate championships, but based on the same point system. The series currently consists of 14 three-day events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. Each rally is split into 15–25 special stages which are run against the clock on closed roads.
Rally was very popular but has recently died out due to the sport being to dangerous and not worth it for the money they gain from it in the end.

formula 1
Formula One (also known as Formula 1 or F1) is the highest class of single-seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and owned by the Formula One Group. The FIA Formula One World Championship has been one of the premier forms of racing around the world since its inaugural season in 1950. The word "formula" in the name refers to the set of rules to which all participants' cars must conform.[1] A Formula One season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (French for 'grand prizes' or 'great prizes'), which take place worldwide on purpose-built circuits and on public roads.
The real racing scene is important to look at as it will show real aspects from tasing I could implement into the project, there could also be a character designed from a real formula one driver.

Initial D
Initial D (Japanese: 頭文字Dイニシャル・ディー, Hepburn: Inisharu Dī) is a Japanese street racing manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno. It was serialized in Weekly Young Magazine from 1995 to 2013, with the chapters collected into 48 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha. The story focuses on the world of illegal Japanese street racing, where all the action is concentrated in the mountain passes and rarely in cities or urban areas, and with the driftingracing style emphasized in particular.[4][5] Professional race car driver and pioneer of drifting Keiichi Tsuchiya helped with editorial supervision. The story is centered on the prefecture of Gunma, more specifically on several mountains in the Kantō region and in their surrounding cities and towns. Although some of the names of the locations the characters race in have been fictionalized, all of the locations in the series are based on actual locations in Japan.
This depiction of a real story of street racers, this anime shows a lot of the things I want to explore in my Japan project, looking at this anime it I can see some of the characters that are depicted so that I can style my characters to how the racers are seen in the media.
