"Waking up that morning, Henry could tell something was a bit off. He chalked it up to his scent blockers wearing off, given he hadn't really stopped taking them for a prolonged time in years, but it still felt strange, like a steady pressure in his hips. Grumbling a little, he got up and got ready, being careful to avoid Everly's family as much as possible. They still weren't all that pleased with him as the Lanyon's Beta. If only they knew he wasn't, not anymore. Shaking his head a little, he passed by the entrance to the sitting room, pausing to look inside. Everly was smiling, wide and strained, as her cousins crowded her to ask about her husband, and her aunts pinched at her cheeks and tutted about her chubbiness. Her brown eyes met Henry's, a silent plea to be rescued, to which the Omega shook his head with an apologetic smile. He hurried away before she could call attention to him, snickering softly to himself. The lady of the house would certainly get him back for this, but for now he needed to get to work."

How Did I Miss A New Dandies Episode?? I've Abandoned My Boys

Scumbling assignments are some of my favourites in my art courses. Seeing the scribbles gradually build up and form a shape feels very gratifying.

Here's a fun little art practice challenge for any artists who see this; pick a random something, a plant, a person, a building, etc., grab a ballpoint pen, and scribble and scumble until you've created it on paper. Don't worry about realism, or keeping directly to your subject matter, just have fun and make something.

Sidenote: scumbling, at least in my experience, is a good way to create something when you have art block.

"Jasper barging into his office with a loud yelp while he and Robert were trying to clear some space for a nest was definitely not an expected situation for the good doctor. He thought he'd have at least a week, maybe two, before the young lycanthrope felt comfortable enough to be as eccentric and frankly invasive as the other Lodgers. Having been desensitized to the experience by many a Lodger slamming open his office doors to gossip or tell him of a success or yell at him, Henry simply turned his head with a bewildered look. Robert, who spent far less time around the ‘riff-raff of questionable sanity’, nearly leapt a foot in the air, spinning in a half circle with a barked, WHO'STHEREBACKOFF- 

“Not a word,” The Alpha quickly directed at his companion once he'd calmed down, who raised a brow in amusement. Robert pointed at him sternly, flushing enough that his freckles were slightly obscured. “Not one. You heard nothing.”"
