As a scenographer and visual artist, I am educated from Akademi for Scenekunst and New York University. My artwork usually begins with installations or sculptures that form the basis of physical actions. To create my projects, I typically establish scenic characters based on space and environment. These projects often end up as live performances-- known as performance art--or video works. As a set designer, I have been involved in numerous film and theater projects that required me to create an imaginative visual world that often deviated from reality-based drama. From institution theaters to independent groups, music videos and short films like "Alle Fugler," which was featured at festivals such as Sundance, the Venice Biennale, and Nordisk Panorama - I've designed sets for them all! Along with Tor Erik Bøe, I am working on a performance art platform called Trollkrem. This year, we are organizing events in Tromsø, Oslo and Miami respectively. My own performance series for 2014 is taking place at the Carl Berner Project Room in Oslo. Furthermore, I have showcased my works at various venues such as Museet for samtidskunst (Museum of Contemporary Art), Akershus Kunstsenter (Akershus Center of Art), Vigeland Museum , Kurant , Kristiansand Kunsthall (Kristiansand Art Hall)Kunstnernes Hus(Artist’s House) Artist Space (New York City ), A.I.R Gallery (NYC ) and Jack Chiles Gallery Erlend Hogstad, born in 1980, is a remarkable sound designer at the Norwegian Film School who has worked with Jennie Hagevik Bringaker on multiple projects including; Norwegian Sculpture Biennale, Paris International and exhibitions at prestigious venues like Hacienda in Zurich and The National Museum's own exhibition space.
