Hang On And Safari Hunt. Global Defense is a side scrolling shoot em up, sort of.  You control a defense satellite that cruises around defending planets in the solar system.  In the offensive phase you are side scrolling and taking on enemies.  To move your ship you have to hold down the 1 button then when you release the button you move your aiming reticule around and can fire.  It's kind of squirrely at first but you'll get used to it.  Basically you put the satellite into position then fire away.  The second defensive phase plays more like Missile Command where you see the top of the planet in the low center of the screen and try to take out incoming missiles.  Then you move onto the next planet.  There are nine levels...yes NINE PLANETS IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM SHUT UP NERD. Ghost House is an arcade style action/platformer ror the Sega Master System. You play as Mick who has inherited the family fortune but the catch is the family mansion is over flowing with monsters and Draculas. Is Mick enough of a bad ass to punch the crap out of Draculas and claim his family fortune?  You need to find keys, open coffins and punch five Draculas. After punching five Draculas you unlock a magical door to the next stage. Enduro Racer is something that caught me off guard.  I never played it before despite it being in my drawer of loose SMS games.  I'm not a huge fan of racing games but when firing it up to snap a picture I had a pretty good time with it.  It reminded me of a cross between Excite Bike's dirt biking action and Paper Boy's perspective and arcade action.  Players navigate Dirt Bike guy through 10 areas doing sick jumps and dodging other off road vehicles.  Upon completing a track you can buy some upgrades for the next race.  I thought the game looked great and I was instantly hooked and looked up some more information on this title learning how to properly do the gnarliest jumps and am actually pretty excited to put some more time into this one.  This seems like the perfect game for me when I have just a little time to sneak away to the game room and enjoy a few quick races. #enduroracer #sega #segamastersystem #sms #segagenesis #segamegadrive #segacd #segacdx #jvcxeye #sega32x #32x #segasaturn #segadreamcast #segasaturday#retrogaming #gamecollecting #gamecollection #gamehunting #videosofacquiredgames #retrocollective #gameroom #consolecollection #gameshelf #mondocoolmunity #classicgames https://instagr.am/p/CcTha5-upat/

Double Dragon for the Sega Master system is a side scrolling beat em up. It does offer two player simultaneous co op unlike the nes version which is pretty cool. I haven't played enough Cyborg Hunter to form a solid opinion. While I was playing to get a few pictures I had a good time but the manual was a must. To access the menu to change weapons and select power ups you need to use controller 2. I never would have figured that out. I did try hitting the pause button on the Master System as I have played games that use that for the menus before. From what I played you hunt cyborgs in a space station or some such futuristic locale looking for weapon upgrades. Be warned there is gratuitous elevator usage which I also had to crack open the manual to figure out. California Games like a large portion of my Master System collection is something that came in the lot I bought in 2007 or so. Black Belt is a side scrolling action game. Originally a Fist of the North Star game this was changed for western markets. Now you control generic karate man as he walks to the right and punches or kicks generic goons until you reach a boss fight. The boss fight is a little more visually interesting. In Aztec Adventure players take control of Nino who navigates mazes looking for the fabled Aztec Paradise. Some times Nino recruits duck men by slapping them with his coin purse to help him battle jungle cannibals. After learning I could recruit buddies with the money bags I did start to have fun. There are power ups and items you earn by defeating enemies that will help you get to the end of the stage. There are boss monsters to defeat before the gate to the next stage opens. Alien Syndrome is an overhead action arcade game. Players control a chunky blue space marine named Ricky. There is a 2nd player Mary who I assume is a pink chunky space marine. Your task is to blast aliens and rescue all of the hostages before defeating a level boss. The game is tough but Sega is where the challenge is.
