Oh, I ain't particular. Something old and sturdy I won't have to be patching up all the time. I'd say something like an old farm house, but there ain't a lot of those in the desert, for obvious reasons.

Well, it's still going, if nothing else. I've been off base and incommunicado for a while, chasing down some loose ends from the past before they could come make trouble for the present. I'm back around now, tryin' ta get re-acclimated to being around civilized folks again.

“Yeah, yeah,” Jesse grumbled, glaring down at the gash on his right hand. He wasn’t the jackass who left a knife in the sink in such a way that most of it slid down the garbage disposal with the blade pointing up. He had thought himself mostly immune to kitchen mishaps, what with his non-cutting arm being made of metal, but here he was.

After Angela had put a butterfly bandage on the wound, he watched not-quite-boredly as the biotic glow enveloped his hand and the flesh began to knit back together. It always amused him just how acclimated he’d become to what amounted to miracles of modern science, but between Mercy and Winston, if you spent a reasonable amount of time boggling over every technological marvel in the Watchpoint, you’d never get anything done. Hell, this cut wouldn’t even have been worth using the biotics on if it weren’t his shooting hand.

Once the wound was mostly patched up, he looked back up at her with a wry smile. “You know, of all the stuff on this base people have to be trained on before usin’ it, you wouldn’t think the kitchen would need to be added to the list. But apparently we’ve underestimated this bunch of cretins.”

     Huge, HUGE shoutout to jessemccowbae, who totally redefined my idea of McCree as a character and whose blog was one of the deciding factors in convincing me to join the Tumblr RPC for Overwatch.
