He was the one I came to the game for, then he told Vil: "Take her to the moon for me." Although I can't say that my favorite character in Twisted Wonderland has changed, because instead of changing, there just became more of them as I got to know the game.

So Vil probably replied: "We'll take her there together. You, me, Leona and... The whole NRC, I guess."

A continuation of this, my first few edits were only sprites so I wanted to try my hand at a card edit and my friend suggested Sillver should debut a new ceremonial outfit and frankly he was right

My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. With all these schemes Azul should really make sure he doesn't get tangled up, eh? Eh?

[Riddle I Leona I Azul]

So, firstly, Azul's blot comes in the form of tentacles and out of his eyes

I imagine said tentacles would get jumbled and twisted while trying to reach for the people around him, getting knotted together and squashing him

I think Azul has some a lot of very good elements in his Overblot design such as the blot swirling around him which I wanted to retain just a bit bigger, less like strands and more like clouds around him

Generally since he is underwater his blot is less solid and more watery, cloudy and floating

I also liked him having shells, coral, barnacles and such added onto his design to evoke the image of majestic clothing, slapping something of other origin on himself in order to appear grander, I once again just made it bigger mostly, though I added broken open shells as big sleeves and made a long string with pearls go around him which his tentacles would get caught in and restrained by

He's attached to his phantom by the tentacles, I wanted to make the fabric look both like tentacles by ripping it up accordingly and like a cape, since the fabric tips are attached to his tentacles it would flare and swing around in the water with his movement and I thought having it somewhat pulled closed on the bottom could also invoke a kind of encasing

The ink bottle is lava lamp style

I used the shell necklace to have tentacles emerge from it, only arms coming out of a protective husk to form an image of bigger arms by intertwining

The blot coming out of the phantom's tentacles form the arms, it's very much all watery too

I used the fish bone pen Ursula and of course Azul too use as a trident, just flipped around, I wanted more references to the phantom being a product of Azul, specifically his magic, though it would also be fitting for it to be a more direct reflection of the trident Ursula uses since it was also something stolen in the movie, actively choosing to use something not of his own, but he had no other magic but his own left which is what he had consistently used as a weapon to uplift himself so far, also flipping the pen to the trident could also be reflective of the switch from the refined act to the desperation of just taking, also I like bones and it looks cool

I referenced Ursula's crown with the spikes poking out of the phantom's back, since the tentacles are flexing, slithering against each other, generally moving and the spikes come out of the crevices between them they move back and forth slightly and slowly

Another thing I liked in the original design were the lighter eyes because it's reminiscent of an octopus losing color, but I would apply that to the whole of Azul and have him lose more and more color as time goes on

As seen I would also have him get tangled in his own tentacles and the mass of fabric from the phantom, as well as the pearl string

Only after I finished all this did I get the idea that the teeth could have come out of his forehead like a crown which is cool as fuck so imagine that for me

But I didn't feel like replacing it here so you get the version where they're coming out of his heart, the thought was a literal "bleeding heart" because Leona likes to pretend he doesn't give a fuck, but gives a whole lot of them actually

I wanted to contrast the physicality of individual magic a bit too? With Riddle, whose unique magic is something very tangible and physical, the hand is smashed apart by the force, with Leona, whose unique magic is not tangible in the way Riddle's is, it closes then melts and sags and flows away

With the original phantoms what I really liked about the stitches and the ink head is that it made it seem like they were a patched together outer shell that is empty, only a container holding and animated by blot so I wanted to keep them generally empty even if the stitches aren't going to really be all that there anymore, with Riddle's Phantom you can see there's no body inside the dress, with Leona's it's literally split open to show that the body is in fact completly hollow, no organs, no tissue, only blot and Leona (fucked up evil people tupperware)

The teeth are specifically only placed on the top and the bottom, with the bottom row being harder to see, to emulate a crown, but also the gaping maw of a beastly monster and all that, I didn't show it that well, but their very much biting down, like stabbing into Leona

I put the ink head on the tail for multiple reasons, 1) With the talk of "Turning the world upisde down" and the idea of Leona ever becoming king seeming so impossible to him I decided to literally take the head the crown would rest on away and put it on the body part furthest from it, so turned around, 2) as a play on "tucking your tail" because Leona's overblot was partly that, giving up, turning and running to protect what you still have left out of fear of losing it and there is that tail, both ready to be tucked into the two body halves (safety by consumption into the hollow) and at the absolute forefront for everyone to see, lastly 3) to swing around as a weapon like an ankylosaurus, that's also the reasons it's cracked and leaking, using the head as a weapon, actively fighting with the most vital part

Of course, the part of tucking into the two halves also applies to Leona, as well as consumption of him by them, aside from that I put him halfway inside of the phantom to make him part of the monster, seeing himself as inherently bad, as a destructive force, as monstrous, not the cause of something harmful, but an irrevocable part of the harmful itself and I'm gonna be really honest with you another reasons I put him inside the phantom is that I cannot stand feet and refuse to have them out

Not very visible, but the strings on the back of his corset are made out of blot and coming from inside the phantom and get tighter when he moves further out, like he tries to suffocate his hopes when he feels them rearing their head, it's also the direct connection Riddle's string is

Both halves of the body can move independently

The teeth would be progressively closing on him until the last part still sticking out gets skwered through by the teeth and stays on the teeth, pinned in place like a piece of fabric with pins through it

I'd want the teeth on his necklace thing to close on him too, they're shorter so they can't quite skewer him as well, but they're in there, though I'm not sure if we would realistically get to that point time-wise, but they're at least scratching and poking through a bit

I had the phantom and Leona himself flaking into sand in certain places, for Leona specifically his hands, for the phantom the bottom half of the body, I imagine it would in an attempt to fill the holes back up push and drag it's body to the ground to scoop up a part of it in order to fill the holes up, only for the new parts to disintegrate too

If the arena wasn't already full of sand you could see how everything under it's feet would crumble

[Riddle I Leona I Azul]

So, I'm gonna get into a few design choices here and how I would imagine them to move:

I really wanted the phantom to be coming out of Riddle because I personally quite like the image of all the worst parts you habour inside of yourself quite literally clawing their way out of you and the image of ink bubbling from your mouth as it sloshes and squirms until it forms into a hand pushing itself out of your mouth, limb unsheathing from your body like a sword, I mostly wanted to empathize that the phantom isn't an outside force, all that was in there all along

I felt like the location of the mouth fit Riddle too, the part of him that he enforces the rules with, makes his decrees, declares his punishments, ect., you get the picture, arguably it's his mouth that he causes the most harm with, "the tyrant spouting unjust nonesense" or something like that

I think nonesense is a theme for Riddle anyway, the rules, both of his dorm and his mother, make as much sense to him as to anyone else, it's considered "good", but it's quite a vaguely defined higher good mostly for the sake of the rules themselves, the rules are good because they are rules because they are good, at this point he's built himself around that though, flimsy of a foundation as that is which is why the phantom is holding itself together by a thread and Riddle himself too

I wanted the cards on Riddle's outift to be alive, continously forming out of blot, and wiggling around, trying to hold on and then proceeding to be continously sliced and stabbed by the spears on the phantoms and the thorns on Riddle as they move, fluttering to the ground and piling up around them

Muppet Riddle: I want his lower jaw to literally drop from his head and flap up and down, like his phantom yanks on the string when he talks to move his mouth for him, his head would occasion spin around it's axis a little and while I don't think he would get to that stage, theoretically it would get progressively looser and looser until his jaw falls off fully and drops and gets stuck on his cunty little collar and then both parts fall of the string onto the ground and they'd still jerk up and down on the grass between the little cut up card soldiers when the phanthom yanks his headless body, the crown doesn't move

I really like the ink bottle heads and I put the head on a stick here to reference the Queen of Heart's scepter in the movie, it can fall forward and backward based on the phantom's movement, generally I wanted there to be a lot of movement so everything's very busy

My friend from the U.S. reached out to the World Health Organization to help me after the recent storm destroyed my tent and all my belongings In Gaza🇵🇸. The rainwater flooded the tent, making the situation even worse.

Thanks to my friend’s efforts, the World Health Organization responded, contacted me, and provided me with a special supplies kit, which helped me get through this difficult time. I am truly grateful for this support, but it is not enough to cover all my needs, especially for my son Hamoud, in these extremely challenging circumstances.
