Man, the drama around Tae's presence in AYS is so funny to me BC most of the takes are nonsensical at best. Did my man thirdwheel? Sadly, yes. Was jk annoyed about someone barging in in his Allotted Exclusive Jimin Time? Well, probably, judging by his reactions, a little bit.

Was any of them rude, or inconsiderate, or whatever vilifying adjective y'all are throwing around this week, for this situation? Absolutely not.

As an aside, EVEN IF it might have been slightly annoying to jk (the same way your sibling might annoy you by joining your activity, by which I mean that you might complain but in the end you're actually happy to spend time with them) it was incredibly funny TO ME.

I'm sorry you don't get the incredible karmic justice of it all, but to me it was SO funny.

Like, my man Taehyung has SUFFERED for ten years straight. This is the same man that had to clap his hands LIVE because jikook were literally squishing him on the couch with their attempts to communicate. This man is the man who had at least TWO circumstances CAUGHT ON TAPE of Jimin standing him up because he had to do something with Jungkook. We want to talk about the treatment he got after the infamous Osaka vlive? Poor Tae has been going Through It.

I think it was his God given right as one of their closest friends and someone who has suffered their... Whatever they do... to decide "I'm gonna crash your little work vacation". He DID crash it and it's kind of clear they were not expecting someone to actually come along for their travels, but that doesn't mean any of them is a villain???

At most this reads like ACTUAL sibling behaviour (both Tae crashing their little work honeymoon AND them reminding him "you're just a guest") that bears NO fucking impact on the clearly very loving relationships there are within the three of them.

Please, before spreading whatever narrative about any one of them being some kind of mustache twirling villain or bully, take a step back, take a walk and maybe you'll clear your head a little

Anyone who ends a post with "I'm glad he's got solos" is a solo and it immediately invalidates anything you said before hand and I'm not going to bother answering you. My thoughts on the taekook writer publishing their fic into a book:

I had to sit and think of my words clearly so that I can write without my mind being jumbled up. I still think this is a mess so bear with me please.

Starters off I will not tolerate disrespect towards Jungkook, Jimin, or Taehyung. If you’re a solo or anti of any of three then I need you to leave. This is an ot7 house, Armys are only allowed. This space is also not suitable for teenagers, if you are under 20 do not interact with my page. ♡

This is also something I’m not willing to go back and forth with or “debate”. These are just my thoughts, you can either like it or keep scrolling.

I will always love and support queerness in media whether that be in movies, tv shows, books etc, and if it’s written by someone queer that’s a million times better. I also love seeing small writers be able to publish a book because I understand how difficult it is to do. So it disgusts me seeing a writer that had no business writing fanfic publish something like this.

What frustrates me the most about the entire situation is just the sheer disrespect towards the three.

There will always be a moral dilemma when it comes to writing real people in fiction, let alone depicting real people in a negative light and I think all opinions within reason are valid but I won’t discuss that today.

If you as a reader can’t differentiate fanfiction from reality then I don’t think you should be reading fanfic in the first place. That being said it’s also your responsibility as a writer to curate your comments to make sure your audience remains respectful, which the author did not do.

People also have a right to criticize you for vilifying Jimin seeing as he already gets treated like that in real life, and when the only time you’ve shown an ounce of remorse for Jimin (because of your negligence towards your comment section.) was after people called you out, which, also warrants criticism.

And on top of all of this you claiming that your book is no longer about taekook/bts while simultaneously promoting your book using their names is despicable. You know that people know your book originally as a taekook fic and you’re profiting off of that. In my eyes you don’t hold respect for those three as a whole, and that in itself is disappointing.

It may be “rich of me” to be talking about this seeing as I’m a fic writer but I’m also a person with opinions and I wanted to say something.

Are You Sure feels like a travel video that a friend made and then shared with you. In the grand scheme of things, it's not sent necessarily to entertain you but simply to show you " Hey look! This is what I did, this is what I ate, this is where I went, doesn't it look fun?"

This show is about Jimin and Jungkook being vulnerable and authentic without the glitz and glamour. They could have very well incorporated a lot of activities and put on a show for our entertainment (they have been in the industry for more than a decade, trust me, they know how to) but they didn't because that's not what this was about.

With their go-pros in hand, they simply did what they wanted to do, went where they wanted to go and ate what they wanted to eat ( and boy do these guys know how to eat).

There are many scenes in the show that the two could have chosen not to show eg. Jimin's diarrhoea, Jimin's struggle with the slopes (why is it always Jimin ...lol). They chose to keep these scenes that depict them as regular human beings.

That's one of the things that made me fall in love with BTS. Despite the idol image, the boys have through the years tried to be as genuine as they possibly could within reason. When asked what being a regular human was like in the military, Jin answered that it was no different since who he is on camera is who he is off camera.

BTS cultivated a relationship with ARMY that allows them to be vulnerable. They don't always need to put on a show, they can just be. And this trust is perfectly translated through their musical experiments in chapter two. The fact that Tae was confident enough to release an RnB album, Joonie's indie RPWP album, Yoongi's album that was essentially him closing the door on his trauma, and all the other works the members released. We give them that freedom to explore, to soar, to breathe, to live, to be and to thrive.

I feel it's the same with this show. Jimin and Jungkook were willing to show us who they are because they knew we would not judge them for it (the sane fans I mean). From the bickering, to the play fights, to the semi-deep conversations, to the playfulness, to the moments filled with tension(not the good kind), to the softness. All this in its totality makes up a sum total of who they are and their beautiful bond. Which makes the "it's a script" arguments just downright laughable.

Some say "it's boring". Well yes, it's meant to be. That's why it works. It's simple. It's mundane. That's what makes it beautiful. Because despite them engaging in a few activities, the boys are out enjoying themselves and they just happen to bring us along. When you really consider how the show was structured you get to understand that this show was more for them than for us. Am grateful they shared with us all the same.

Is there a point to this long post, not really. Just a girl gushing over two men whose show has helped keep her sane these past few weeks. I want 12 more seasons. I want more travel adventures with Jikook. I want more "mukbang" videos. I want more "Are you hurt" moments with Jimin (jk, I can't take anymore of those). But most of all, I want them, together, having the time of their lives.
