this is your gentle reminder to stop fighting against your adhd and instead structure your life around it
buy a pack of chapsticks and put one in the pocket of all of your coats and jackets because you always forget to bring one and chapped lips is sensory hell
leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist
put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.
when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!
plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.
if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge
if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.
its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.

Writing tips for long fics that helped me that no one asked for.
1.) Don't actually delete content from your WIP unless it is minor editing - instead cut it and put it in a secondary document. If you're omitting paragraphs of content, dialog, a whole scene you might find a better place for it later and having it readily available can really save time. Sometimes your idea was fantastic, but it just wasn't in the right spot.
2.) Stuck with wording the action? Just write the dialog then revisit it later.
3.) Stuck on the whole scene? Skip it and write the next one.
4.) Write on literally any other color than a white background. It just works. (I use black)
5.) If you have a beta, while they are beta-ing have them read your fic out loud. Yes, I know a lot of betas/writers do not have the luxury of face-timing or have the opportunity to do this due to time constraints etc but reading your fic out loud can catch some very awkward phrasing that otherwise might be missed. If you don't have a beta, you read it out loud to yourself. Throw some passion into your dialog, you might find a better way to word it if it sounds stuffy or weird.
6.) The moment you have an idea, write it down. If you don't have paper or a pen, EMAIL it to yourself or put it in a draft etc etc. I have sent myself dozens of ideas while laying down before sleep that I 10/10 forgot the next morning but had emailed them to myself and got to implement them.
7.) Remember - hits/likes/kudos/comments are not reflective of the quality of your fic or your ability to write. Most people just don't comment - even if they say they do, they don't, even if they preach all day about commenting, they don't, even if they are a very popular blog that passionately reminds people to comment - they don't comment (I know this personally). Even if your fic brought tears to their eyes and it haunted them for weeks and they printed it out and sent it to their friends they just don't comment. You just have to accept it. That being said - comment on the fic you're reading now, just do it, if you're 'shy' and that's why you don't comment the more you comment the better you'll get at it. Just do it.
8.) Remove unrealistic daily word count goals from your routine. I've seen people stress 1500 - 2000 words a day and if they don't reach that they feel like a failure and they get discouraged. This is ridiculous. Write when you can, but remove absurd goals. My average is 500 words a day in combination with a 40 hour a week job and I have written over 200k words from 2022-2023.
9.) There are dozens of ways to do an outline from precise analytical deconstruction that goes scene by scene to the minimalist bullet point list - it doesn't matter which one you use just have some sort of direction. A partial outline is better than no outline.
10.) Write for yourself, not for others. Write the fic you know no one is going to read. Write the fic that sounds ridiculous. You will be so happy you put it out in the world and there will be people who will be glad it exists.

Gods have their Weakness - one of my CLOSEST to the canon DB fics. With a little help of my friends and inspo, I wrote it. It almost reached 100 kudos - my biggest success in the fandom.

Sorry for just popping by here in and out. I was starting to believe that it wouldn't be feasible to browse more than one or two social sites at a time... but then twitter will have an update or do something SO DUMB it makes me think... "hm, maybe I should venture out to different websites from time to time?"
I'm starting to think back on how I used to jump from blog to blog, site to site, not signing up for everything really, but instead exploring and reading different articles, comments, pictures, etc. Twitter made me miss doing that a lot. I doubt anything will change tomorrow to the way it used to be. From bluesky, to tumblr, to mastodon, to ig, to tiktok etc, things can feel overwhelming or tiresome. Do I even have the mental space to engage in multiple sites and socials? No, right?
But honestly? It's becoming tiresome to browse/scroll through only ONE site. It's almost feels like never leaving your house. Yes, I do indeed "touch grass" more often than you'd know. But I'm speaking about the downtime when I'm not outside and hanging with friends, but on the comfort of my couch or at the desk on my PC.
I always had this mindset that having everything in one place was better. Like news, art, online friends, trends, etc. And that was what twitter is (or was?) for years. But maybe browsing different blogs, socials, and discord servers, isn't such a horrible idea that I thought it was.
I don't think the "next twitter" is going to happen again anytime soon. I'm hoping it'll be something new, but not in the way we think. Maybe ironically the next big internet thing is "touching virtual grass" (no, not VR) but by "socializing" outside of just ONE platform for everything, but at least having a handful of sites that we like and enjoy visiting. Places I can rotate between and possibly discover more I like.
Tumblrs nice, bluesky is great, and twitter as much as it pains me to say this, still has some good in it, but it's clearly falling apart. And I don't want to retreat to another social media site and have it become the only site I scroll through 24/7.
Anyway, I'm ranting! My ass will probably fall back to bad habits and be stuck on twitter for the next five hours something, haha! But I sincerely hope things can change online sooner than later. For all our mental well being.

Yesterday was a spooky time for them fighting those db bad take zombies!
This was inspired by @fuckyeahhdragonballzyaoi Twitter space on October 29th (The Halloween Special!). We had a lot of fun with the topic so I wanted to make an illustration based on it. It was a lot of fun!!!!!!!!

For as much as I love to criticize Super (it's one of my favorite past times 🤣), one thing I really enjoyed was Vegeta's bond with Cabba. You can tell despite Vegeta's jerkass exterior, he really DID care about Cabba which was highlighted during the Tournament of Power. ESPECIALLY when Cabba was erased:

They don't show his face which I love since it shows ambiguity (in a way) and when he threatens to take his rage out on Katopesla....ugh!! 😭

P.S: I like to headcanon part of the reason why Vegeta cared about Cabba was because of his resemblance to Cabba:

RIGHT in the heart as usual
Tumblr media
A cómic about loss. I don’t think there’s a punchline more like a lingering depression I understand after someone’s death…
I had it in my drafts for some time, so finally had the courage to show it.

Everytime I see posts like this I get filled with such profound sadness
Cause you know who has the same brainrot as you? The same unhinged feelings as you after you've read the fic? The person who always wants to scream about the fic with you?
THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT
I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible
Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together
