🎨 Face Study # 16 Skin Color. There is no such thing as a “skin” color. Skin color is essentially a combination of all 3 primaries: red, yellow and blue. That's right. Red plus yellow plus blue. You can check the proportions on your portrait with the use of a camera, and by flipping it in the Autodesk Sketchbook(or other applications).You'll find it weird once flipped. Artists flip their drawings because it helps them see their mistakes. They can view their drawings from another angle and notice the incorrect parts of their work – that they can then easily fix after flipping the canvas back. 🎨 Face Study # 4 Cast Shadow. Even if you only have one color value on your shadow, it'd still look good. To push it even further you need to apply bounce light. Bounce light is found in the shadow part of a portrait. Keep in mind that the value of bounce light(reflected light from surroundings) is still darker than the darkest value of your light area.
