I have been seeing a delightful amount of the Eldritch AU recently, and I just had the itch for drawing the kinslayers. The most attractive bundles of twigs I have ever seen ✨ The Eldritch AU is super intruiging, and it's made by @arlenianchronicles!

Melkor Bauglir, of the beginning of days

Melkor descended into Arda, desiring kingship for himself and rule over the world that he and the Ainur had sung into being. He left the shame he felt beneath Ilúvatar's words in the void, and painted himself as something healed and beautiful. Only to discover that no other wished for Arda beneath his rulership.

Morgoth, ever after

Melkor fled from Arda, and returned later in secret, with several Ainur who had earlied felt attuned to his song. In time, Melkor launched war upon the Valar but was in the end defeated and held captive for three ages of the world.
